We absolutely loved this tour! It was the first thing we did in Shanghai and was the perfect introduction to different regional foods in China. Our guide, Paul, was chatty, informative and personable. He navigated restaurants and food stalls with ease, all of which were authentic and unassuming places which we wouldn't have found or tried by ourselves (especially given that we aren't mandarin speakers). All the food was outstanding - we especially loved the Cantonese and Szechuan restaurants. We couldn't recommend this tour enough. Not only that, but Paul offered so many personal recommendations for the rest of our trip from his experience having lived in Shanghai for a number of years and it felt like having a friend in the city (Gabi loved the jianbing stall!!). He also happily answered our thousands of questions about life in Shanghai and China more broadly. We also found the recommendations in the welcome pack super helpful. After our experience on this tour, we are going to go on the UnTour Beijing breakfast tour later in our trip. Thanks so much, Paul!
