Ranveer was a very nice, educated guide who guided us through all the little streets and food stalls. The food was amazing!!! Some of the best we ever had. We ate and drank everything and didn’t get sick (and I get sick really quickly). You visit the spice market, Chandi Chowk and about 15 stalls with food/drinks. Come hungry!!! Ranveer was so nice to guide us to the mosk as well and help us there. 10/10 recommend!!

Suraj was a great tour guide, and we got to enjoy all the food we had been meaning to eat on our India trip! A great way to see Old Delhi too. Loved experiencing the Sikh temple. Would recommend!

Did an Old Delhi food tour with Aditya while in Delhi - highly recommend! We tried lots of different dishes and learned a ton about Indian food. Aditya was a great guide - very informative and professional. In fact, he was probably the best guide we had across 2 weeks in India. We were nervous about eating street food, but felt very safe on this tour and had no stomach issues. Highly recommend!

Brilliant. This tour was an excellent way to see and learn about Delhi while tasting a wide selection of delicious food, most of which I'd never tried before. Our guide Aditya was informative, funny and a delight to spend the day with. I'll admit I was nervous about the risk of stomach issues trying so many foods, but the only problem we hit was trying to pace ourselves and not get too full! We also did the Food Tour in Delhi Cooking Class with Chef - the combination was perfect and it's obvious how passionate Rajeev and Shikha are about sharing the many wonders of Indian food and culture.

Delhi can be overwhelming and chaotic.
My guide Rishi could explain a lot and guided me safely through the streetfood jungle of Old Delhi. In a really enthusiastic and likeable way.

A wonderful personalised tour tasting some incredible authentic and traditional foods with fascinating commentary by our accompanying chef Aditya. A wonderful way to experience and get to know Old Delhi as we also got to do a rickshaw ride and visit the spice market.

We are on our last day in India (11 day whirl around the golden triangle) and have just returned from a walking tour of old Delhi with super funny and informative guide Varun. I wish we had done this as our first day & experience. We learned so much about the history, culture and beliefs of the complex and fascinating country. We got to see the markets , mosques, walked back streets feeling very safe and cared for. We shopped, rode, sat , ate , what more could anyone want? If you did , you only had to ask. I want to do it again ..who wants to come with me ? Just do this experience, it is so much more than a just walk with a guide. ♥️♥️♥️ Mary & Peter Hayman, Australia.

I have always missed connecting to the Old Delhi charm but after the last night's food walk, I am content.

And thanks to Team Spinmonkey, who were kind enough to include our tour at the last minute.

Thier passion to get us, all the popular Street food that we have requested earlier was commendable and they made sure that we didn't missed any.

Qureshi's mouth watering kababs, Mohd. Hussain's fried chicken (JFC), sharbat-e-mohabbat, Hallem, Nihari, Biryani.... evrything was epic.

And the festive season of Ramzan made it even more special.

    🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you SpinMonkey from the bottom of my tummy. The overall experience was truly a soulful appetite. 🙂✌️

My wife and I booked this tour ahead of time from our home in Canada and went on the tour just a few days after arriving in India (this is my first visit to India). The tour was exactly as advertised with intangibles that made it even better.

We were picked up in the nicest car we had ridden in so far on our trip and our driver, Ravi Kumar, was not only humorous but also incredibly considerate of our needs by offering us water and asking us to tell him if we needed the air conditioning turned up.

We met our guide, Rahul, who is also the owner of Virsa travel, at a road side restaurant a couple of hours outside of Delhi. Rahul had an unassuming demeanor but his good humor and social ease was soon revealed as he sparked conversation and put us at ease while we enjoyed a delicious Indian breakfast together.

Our next stop was at a primary and grade school in the countryside where we learned about the state of the education system from the teachers there and got to communicate with the children using our eyes and body language. This was the heartbreaking highlight for me (in a good way) – life changing for someone who has not traveled outside of the developed country in which they live.

Rahul toured us around the small farming town and brought us to a family home where we joined the women in the kitchen as they prepared lunch. They are not accustomed to foreign visitors in this small place and the mutual fascination and desire to connect was palpable. The women had pre-prepared all of the ingredients but every step of the cooking process was described and shown. The food was authentic and delicious, prepared with love and rich with culture.

After our lunch and heartfelt goodbyes our driver returned us to our hotel in Delhi. A few of the things that we appreciated the most is that Rahul offered all-in pricing. There were no hidden fees (such as highway tolls or taxes), no surprise stops at carpet shops (but if you want that typical experience I’m certain that Rahul would offer it but in a refined way), and our North American needs were understood and catered to without compromising the authenticity of the experience. And, best of all, we got to spend time with the Indian women in an Indian kitchen.

The gratitude for the genuine connection and hospitality from this experience will always remain with us.

P.S. The drive out to the country is a long one but Delhi is a big city to get out of. If you want a breather from it, just for a day, this offers that and, strange though it may seem, being in the car in Delhi for a while is part of what it means to experience India because it is a common experience for the people who live here.

TJ was a fantastic guide for our cycle tour of Old Delhi. So much packed in, we got to see areas from a unique point of view. Highlights included tour of Sikh place of worship and flower market. Well paced and very informative.
