The tour company Marujo Turismo was excellent. I had to change my tour plans several times due to the lack of water in the Amazon. My cruise kept changing. This tour company has a can do attitude and responds quickly to requests. The Safari tour was the highlight of our vacation. We saw the pink dolphins, meeting of the waters, did the fishing and the local tribe. Lunch was also included. Very reasonably priced tour.
    We would recommend it!

Had a fun time with our tour guide Fabio. Took a nice hike in the jungle, long boat ride and swam with the dolphins. Lunch was excellent and even the fishing which I'm not a fan of, was fun. Great experience and worthwhile for those who can't spend days in the Amazon.

We had a great experience. Our guide Daniel was very knowledgeable and patient in explaining and showing us the flora and fauna. We were picked up at 7:30 AM and dropped off at 5:30 PM. We drove for 1 hour where we got on a canoe for a jungle cruise on a smaller tributary of the Rio Negro. We did a 1.5 hr walk through the jungle. The followed a fishing experience for Piranha fish. Continued to visit a jungle lodge for lunch. More river cruise to reach the Rio Negro near the largest fresh water Archipelago.

We felt like we got the experience we paid for.

Excellent experience throughout. There was always an activity in the morning and the afternoon and plenty of time to chill out. The food was great and cooked fresh every day and the guides were knowledgable. The lodge was basic but has everything you needed - easily the best wifi I’ve had anywhere I’ve stayed. Thank you anaconda team.

Our guide Fabio was fantastic. He managed well for all the situations nature giving. Food was good and the room was more than I expected. I truly recommend this tour and will be back again in May.

Honestly, it was just okay. We had to reroute and see other waterfalls because of the drought and did not get to see the main waterfall pictured. The river tour experience was more enjoyable in my family’s opinion.

I went to this tour, booked over WPP and did not know what to expect. Just want to say that it met all my expectations. The tour is very well organized in an awesome environment quiet deep in the joungle.

My tour guides - Eddy, Ben and Adelson were amazing and helped me with anything I needed.

So, If you are hesistant about booking, don't be and go for it.

This was an awesome 1/2 day adventure. Our tour guide, Francineto, took us to the Rio Negro, an Indian village were we saw a show, swimming with the dolphins. Lunch was all you can eat and wonderful. There were a couple of stops to buy souvenirs. Francineto was a great tour guide. You could tell he takes great pride in his job. He was constantly interacting with all his guest (40+tourist). He and his team kept us safe while on the boat and everyone returned home safe. I’d recommend this trip if you are short on time in Manaus. Seeing the Rio Negro was the highlight of the tour for me.

This is a wonderful tour to introduce you to the fascinating city of Manaus, the banana market, the opera house, the amazing Negro and Amazon rivers and so much more! The guides were on-time, interesting and were very fluent in English. Lunch was delicious. The boat ride was fun. This is a great tour! So much to see and do. Well worth your time and money!

Our English-speaking guide was friendly, but he appeared relatively young and seemed to lack experience in conducting tours. With time and the opportunity to receive constructive feedback, his skills will undoubtedly improve. Overall, the tour was enjoyable.

The walk uphill to the ruins, though short, was quite hot. It would have been helpful to receive a reminder to apply mosquito repellent beforehand. Coming from a much colder climate to this hot environment on our first day in town, we found the speed walking to the ruins a bit challenging. This was done to stay on schedule and meet another group, which unfortunately left little time for us to adjust. While the guide made lighthearted jokes about our need for breaks during the walk, they felt somewhat ill-timed given the circumstances.

That said, the visit to the tribe and the excellent lunch at the floating restaurant were highlights of the experience. Seeing the river dolphins was truly unique and made for a memorable day. Oh and the fish farm was a lot of fun, getting to feed the huge fish was a highlight for all of us.

This was my wife and I's first time in Brazil and straight from Rio we flew to Manaus and landed late at night around 10pm and naturally being our first day in the country and landing in a smaller city at nighttime, my wife and I were both a bit nervous about transportation to our hotel in the Old Town of Manaus, but this transportation company was very professional. Victor and his team have 3 different types of vehicles depending on your needs. Their price was reasonable from the airport compared to Ubers and as soon as I booked it they used WhatsApp to confirm with me the reservation and sent me a photo of the sign they would be holding. The driver had a proper uniform for the company as well and the signs were properly printed out as well. we were able to identify the driver right after we got our bags from the baggage claim and didn't have to worry about trying to find a taxi late at night or an uber late at night and the driver was very nice and pleasant. The car itself was also a nice car compared to Ubers that we took in the city during our trip. He dropped us off right at the hotel, which was a 20 minute drive without any issues. If you have concerns about safety in Brazil especially arriving at nightime, I can assure you that you'll be find and safe if you book with Victor and his team.

The Amazon experience excursion was excellent. First we swam with the pink river dolphins and that was delightful. Then we went to meet the native indigenous people and watch them dance and play musical instruments. That was amazing. Then we had a delicious lunch. There was also the meeting of the waters, which was interesting all in all it was a very enjoyable day.

We recently spent two days (an overnight on board cruise ship) in Manaus, the furthest western most port on our Amazon River cruise.

Day 1 we booked ourselves a "doBrazilRight" 7 hours 5 agenda boat tour that took us 30-35 miles further west than cruise ships can travel. The guide was terrific throughout the day. Here's what we did: we went to two places and were taught why the "Meeting of the Waters" do not mix. We went to a floating Restaurant Selva Anazõnica on Lago do January (beverage and buffet line lunch included in the price) [souvenirs here quite expensive]. We then walked a raised wooden walkway through the jungle to view the Victoria Amazonica Water Lilies. (Truth be told, there were but 50+- lilies most of which were 4-6' diameter. We then went to Boto Jacaré Ubal Turismo for up close and / or hands on with 3, maybe 4 Pink Dolphins. They come freely from the open water when the tour boat ties up and folks get in the water. After that we went to the opposite shore to visit an Indigenous tribe of about 100 who welcomed us in their huge chickee building with music and dance.

Day 2 we took a Holland American Cruise bus tour of the Mercantile building...here you have a WIDE selection of souvenirs. We then took a city bus tour which included a lengthy visit into the Teatro Amazonia, the 19th century Opera House built by the rubber barons. We were very lucky that during our visit the philharmonic orchestra (strings only) were in full rehearsal mode.

Hotel pick-up and drop-off included in the cost was good. Unexpectedly picked up another passenger which was a bit of a squeeze thankfully for just 15 mins. The port was noisy and a bit dirty. Iron stairs down to the docks had some rusty holes. Looked slippery but was okay. Not a good place to fall. Fairly long walk of about 8 mins along slippery steel plates on the dock to the boat. Boat accommodated about 48 people in rows of two seats on either side. Bit cramped. Front was the guide and pilot plus another girl who sold popsicles and sometimes piloted the vessel. Boat left on time at 9am. Guide spoke Brazilian most of the time but did speak English too - hard to hear above the engine noise but ok when docked. Meeting of the waters met my expectations. Everyone had a chance to go the front and take pictures alone with the guide happy to take the picture on your mobile - nice touch!

Pink dolphins was enjoyed the most by those who brought their swimming togs and taken into the water where a guy slapped the water with fish to get the dolphins to come over. They did. Impossible to take a still picture of one. Video is better but lots of wasted footage before a glimpse of these wonderful shy intelligent creatures. Enjoyable nevertheless once you put behind your mind the cruel overfeeding of dolphins. Lunch was good. Buffet of local dishes. Drinks to be bought at a reasonable price. Venue had a boardwalk on stilts above the ground once you navigated a precarious looking ramp to get to it. This took you to giant Lilly pads floating on a lake . Lilly pads were in poor condition but its nature and depends on the season maybe. Indigenous village had a precarious climb on a steep muddy/ sandy slope to thatched huts and a show with dancing. I got bit by some insect which hurt at the time but so far no other symptoms or illness. I had sprayed deet all over and treated the wound with antiseptic cream on return. Given a rating of 4 as you can sit out some of the activities described and still meet expectations of seeing the meeting of the waters and dolphins which was good. Arrived back at 4pm.
