Out of curiosity went to the beach to watch the Kite Surfers.
Jen from Isla Kitesurfing approached me and patiently answered all my questions and so convinced me to take my first 1,5h lesson.
    Was fun, so I continued.
My Instructor "Along" was great and got a lot of experience, he explained very well and analyzed what I was doing wrong, so I improved quickly.

Staff is very friendly and multilingual.
Booking of lessons can be done spontaneously and rescheduling is no problem if it doesn't fit your other plans on the island.

    Will come back.

My trip to the Philippines was not during the wind season, but I still wanted to try and get some kitesurfing in. I gave GreenYard a call, and Amos was one of the friendliest, most helpful people I could have hoped for. He helped me figure out the forecast and sent me to the only place with a chance of wind during my one week in the Philippines, up north to Ilocos Norte and a spot called Kingfisher. He even made the trip himself, and we had a great time hanging out. The wind was too low to do much, but I wouldn't have gotten any kiting in without Amos's help, so I'm super grateful and can't recommend him and his team enough. I did spend a couple days relaxing on Boracay, too, and GreenYard's spot on Bulabog Beach is probably the most chill little corner of paradise you could ask for.

This my 4th time at School, there Christmas '2020 as could fly safely from Manila. The essence of what makes it a great place to windsurf/kite, + lessons is alive and well, the gear, the location for launching but most of all the staff under Simone's direction. I am windsurfer and even though new boards Simone keeps some older ones for those of us that like it old school - one day started with 78ltr/4.2, all rigged and waiting for me and when sail / board changes needed already anticipated by Gido waiting for me at the beach. He second generation in his family windsurfing. Low wind days great opportunity to learn Kite boarding from Alex! IF YOU CAN get there this season GO GO GO - Cannot stress how magical it is to be on the water in that sort of wind with only one other windsurfer & 10 kites, white beach not mobbed on the otherside if your partner not join you on the water. If you find yourself already on the Island - get lessons in the low wind as its the type of conditions that are outstanding for learning to kite surf and world class instruction! Anyway - not overselling just wanting anybody that HAS the opportunity to take advantage as I have no doubt crowds will return as the conditions that make it one of the best places in the world ain't going away & the School has found a way to keep all of its essentials in the face of truly criminal "rehabilitation" wrought on the beach.

Habagat is a great place to learn how to kiteboard. Really great instructors and friendly faces all around! Winnie was great to work with, and Kleng was an awesome instructor. It was my first time kiteboarding and was so enjoyable, would definitely recommend.

If ever a Koala came to Boracay to learn kitesurfing, I’m convinced Toni and Martin would get him going. I saw them getting folks on the board and doing nice turns after just a couple of days that other teachers already gave up on. It‘s the right mix of motivation and trust-building, paired with the proper chill-factor and technical know-how actually all watersport activities should go along with. If you‘re serious about learning to kitesurf, that‘s the place to go.

Reefriders run by the lovely Chill is situated right in the middle of the bay. Extensive kit and really helpful staff/instructors at resonable rates. I was there for 3 weeks and it was windy everyday except just 4 days (which Chill refunded!). Severne sails on Starboard boards which is a great combo. Wind strength varied so tried lots of difference kit. Most enjoyed Carve 120l and 7/6.5m on lighter days and Kode 100l and 4.7m when is got really lively. You can stand in almost any part of the large bay area inside the reef (wear booties) and the wind is mainly onshore. The launch point for Reefriders is perfect. I did nose around other centres but they seemed mainly for kiting whereas ReefRiders does both.

Highly recommended. Have a look on Google Earth and you can see a great view from above the bay on the East side of Boracay.

I also recommend Niu Ohana apartments and Leventin Hotel as both are on Bolabog Beach front in the perfect spot.

Best Kitecenter in Boracay with modern equipment and very friendly and professional team. If you’re in Boracay and thinking about going kitesurfing, I’d recommend going to Timog.

We spend there four days and it was great. We love that kind of cozy and authentic places, the stuff is very cheerful and helpful!

Unfortunately, we got the tayphoon during the vacation, all the stuff helped us a lot: shared their food, moved us to other apartment and kept informing us.
    Great thanks to you all!

Also we took some kiteboarding lessons, say Hi to coach Nikita!)

Thanks to Rokas and especially to our very patient and super attentive instructor Kirill, my friend and I have had the best time learning Kitesurfing in Boracay. After our first lessons, we both got instantly hooked and we are already planning to continue to learn more and improve our kitesurfing skills with the next opportunity.
If you are planning a trip to Boracay and are looking for a professional kiresurfing team, Mangoriders is the place to go!!!!
    SUPER HAPPY!

My experience with the Boracay Kite Center was awesome. When I got there my kite control was decent, but I couldn't really stand on the board. After one week of lessons I could surf up and down the beach, do turns and have fun by myself.

My instructors Simone and Mars were excellent, and they're also the type of people you want to have a beer with (or two). They gave the right instructions at the right time, which allowed me to make really fast progress.

I highly recommend taking more lessons instead of struggling yourself. Sometimes you just need to change a little thing, so it's better to have an instructor guide you. The kite beach in Boracay can get crowded in the flat areas for beginners. That can be annoying when by yourself, but they take you to the right spot where you can practice without bumping into others.

I had read some mixed reviews about the kite beach in Boracay, but was positively surprised. I think it's an awesome place for kitesurfing. The wind was really good and the water mostly flat, perfect for beginners. The prices are more than fair, both lessons and rental. I definitely recommend it and would do it again!

A big thank you to all the staff at the Bolabog Beach Resort. My Boyfriend had a great few days out on the water after many years of absence and is still feeling it now! I was a newbie and Dondon quickly got me up and surfing. The whole team were great but in particular the girls managing the centre who run a great operation.

See you all again soon in Boracay,
    Caroline & Thomas
