Everything was excellently planned, waterfalls are a must see, the coffee experience is amazing and the hot springs are to die for! Our guide Baltazary was great and he even helped my husband sick with migraine throughout the whole tour. Baltazary was extremely helpful and empathetic. Not only he explained every detail during the tour but he also acted as a nurse and doctor throughout the day. We really appreciated his kind gesture. I very highly recommend this tour with Baltazary.

Mpembaf was so much fun, he made the tour so much fun for all of us. They were also able to accommodate our needs as we kept adding on more people to the tour. Very informative, excellent driver too.

We started with a tour of a Lutheran church built in the 1800's by Germans. It was simple and functional and interesting and beautiful. The walk from the church to the coffee farm was somewhat uphill on a dirt lane. Be prepared if it's a hot, dry day. The coffee farmer took us around his farm and educated us on every step involved in coffee farming. We hiked down a path through trees that was uneven. Well worth it but be prepared for a hike. We passed several villagers' homes to arrive at a beautiful home of a Scandinavian woman and her African husband where we were served a family-style lunch of delicious local dishes. It was way more than any of us could eat. We were able to buy coffee and handmade items. It was a great way to learn and see the local culture.

We spent only one night in Moshi and had to leave the next day in the evening. Therefore, we were searching for something taking around half a day and the Materuni waterfalls and coffee tour were perfect for this occasion. We were picked up at our hotel at 9 am and were back at 3 pm. The first part of the tour was a half hour hike to the waterfall. The nature was wonderful and we learned a lot about the local plants and fruits and the culture of the Chagga tribe living there. Finally, the waterfall was stunning and we enjoyed bathing below it. It was really cold but quite refreshing after the hike. The second part was the coffee tour. For this part we went to a local village where we learned a lot about the coffee plant, the whole process of making Arabica coffee and a little bit of history. I realized how few I knew about coffee and found the tour extremely interesting. In the end, we enjoyed our selfmade coffee and had a local typical lunch containing banana soup, rice and vegetables. The food was extraordinarily delicious. Altogether, I can definitely recommend this tour. Our guide and the driver were really friendly and reliable and the tour was interesting and funny. There was also nearly always the possibility to find shelter against the hot sun, which concerned us a bit before the tour.

The tour was amazing, firstly, you do the 30-45 minute walk around the Chagga villages and in the wilderness to get to the waterfall. You can swim or just stand there, amazed on the incredible nature of that spot. After that, you’ll live an amazing experience on how the local tribes produce coffee, with their chants and energy, and of course, get a taste of it. The experience is super recommended, and you can get a good picture of the Kilimanjaro.

The experience of this tour was absolutelly unforgetable and even better than expected. The family is extremelly friendly and lovingly. We could feel like a part of the family.
The activity was scheduled as a coffee tour but we got definitly more! We started the day with a great lemon grass/ginger tea and fresh peanuts. Thereafter we enjoyed a walk through banana plantation learning a lot about the different kinds of bananas and could taste them directly from plantation. Then we could also see the avocado and mango trees and eat the best avocado in my life :-) The walk finished with swimming in a nice waterfall.
On the walk we could also see the everyday life of the local village.
After we came back we were welcome with a lunch constisting of many delicious dishes so we could try typical local food.
After lunch the coffe tour started with a visit on the plantation and as next we were able to prepare our coffee from begining and according to the traditional process. The coffee was of the best quality and very testy (also for me as a tea drinker).
I can absolutelly recommend it. If you are looking for an experience to learn the real, local face of the country instead of visting only touristic places from the checklist - it can be nothing better than this tour!

For us the coffee tour was absolutely a highlight while staying in Arusha! We really enjoyed the coffee walk and the exchange with our friendly guide Samwel. We’ve learned a lot about the village, the locals and of course about coffee. Samwel was an amazing host and we enjoyed the conversation with him a lot. If you want to do a coffee walk in Tanzania - this is the place!
Not to forget, the coffee was amazing! We’re already looking forward to drinking it again when we’re back home.

We went to the feet of the Klimanjaro. We went down a mountain to the Klimanjaro waterfalls, it was really challenging and amazing. Hereafter we went on a coffee tour with the local people. We made our own coffee, it was really amazing. We also got local food, it was really good. The people were very kind and they really were open and friendly. If you go to Tanzania you should really visit the mochi people. They are really kind and the place is wonderful.

The scenery was amazing through out the day. The walk was good but tiring and to a certain degree dangerous for people not used to walking such tracks or unfit due to age or knee problems. I believe tour agents should give detailed information to tourists before they embark on such ventures. They need to bring suitable shoes eg at minimum. Tour agents should not assume that programs are fit for all. They need to provide accurate information and leave the customer to decide. Personally I thoroughly enjoyed the walk but my friend went back. They should also explain that lunch is in someone’s house not in a restaurant! We loved the lunch and the hospitality of the hosts and enjoyed the coffee roasting and grinding
