What travellers are saying
- Lise M.Siem Reap, Cambodia29 contributionsWe live in Asia for 11 years so seeing this fish market and the way they dried the fishes, wasn’t that surprising to us. Yet we walk around that kind of peninsula in the different villages and fisheries, away from the brouhaha of the market it felt authentic and picturesque.
We did spot species we were surprised to see.Written 7 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The only thing that spoils the overal nice experience is a huge landfill site located right at the river bank - it attracts lots of birds indeed, however not the kind you would like to see travelling to such exotic location.Written 12 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Skeney57Sydney, Australia21,999 contributionsA beautiful Church in an area with a multitude of Churches & Religious statuary on public display. Our guide said that Christians only make up a small percentage of the SL Population but this area is a mini Vatican City !! It was a school day so we kept it low key but worth a quick visit !Written 8 April 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mike CManchester, UK14 contributionsStopped here on a private guided tour. in the middle of negombo it is very impressive. females have to cover up shoulders etc.. .but they give you a shroud. a massive budda and when you go inside the lions mouth pay £5 you see a pictorial history of how the buddist religion came about, with simple explanation in various languages from a guide book. more of a museum with great art work. Well worth a half hour visit at least.Written 8 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Samanthi M1 contributionIt was an amazing experience we gained at Ceylon Kingsmen Garden. We were so satisfied about the wonderful hospitality, comfy rooms and the delicious food. Rooms were very clean and the service was really great. The garden was the most fascinating part of the hotel because it was so exotic, serene and tranquilizing. We are so glad to be there , and we recommend the hotel as one of the best places to stay in Negombo. Overall, it was an incredible experience to stay at Ceylon Kingsmen garden Negombo.Written 29 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Just an experience.Written 11 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- jeff1955malaysiaKuala Lumpur, Malaysia5,283 contributionsThis is wonderful way to do a boat ride along the dutch canal. It was once a trading port in the early days. You get to see nature and admire their mangrove swamps.Written 11 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
