Vinay is a very knowledgeable and friendly person, local to Varanasi.
Vinay showed me around the Assi Ghat, where I had the unforgettable experience of watching the Arti, sunrise in the Ganges, religious concert, and yoga. We also had some Chai.
Afterwards, he showed me around the streets of Varanasi and its various temples. Wee also watched traditional Indian wrestling training.
At the end of the tour, we went on a boat through the Ganges and he explained various Ghats and their cultural relevance. We stopped at the Cremation Ghat, where we solemnly watched the rituals as he explained the process in detail.

He’s incredibly knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights about the city’s people, history and culture.
The day was packed with memorable highlights - enjoying chai at local spots, a delicious lunch with a German Shepherd, discovering a hidden silk sari factory that was quite incredible, and sampling amazing street food as we went.
Of course we also visited breathtaking temples, witnessed the solemn burning ghats, and soaked* in the beauty of the Ganges.
* not literally but he said some customers do jump in!
Prakash’s friendly and engaging personality made the tour even more enjoyable. I highly recommend booking with him and Best Varanasi Tours for an authentic and enriching Varanasi experience!

Highlight of the day is viewing Ganga Arathi from a nearby balcony which gives a great view of the whole event. - Anne W8 contributionsWe were collected promptly by our guide who took as to the area in a tuktuk and then another to get closer - the ghat area has restrictions. We walked past the balcony where our guide booked seats for the evening ceremony before going on a boat ride - where we were the only ones on the boat! Our guide explained about the local temples, history and cremation area. Then we went to our seats on a balcony from which we could view the whole evening Aarti clearly. The sound was a little louder than expected as we were quite close to loudspeakers, but we felt priveleged to have witnessed this and the crowds of pilgrims engrossed in the experience. Our guide invited us to leave prior to the end in order to avoid getting caught up in excessive crowds - and we were happy to do this. He took us through alleyways to avoid crowds and this worked very well. - krishna prasadHyderabad, India1 contributionAyodhya Ram mandir darshan is very cool and no hassles. Just took 1/2 hr walk in the queue. The other temples are not that interesting. Those places are not very Clean. Stayed in Clarks inn express hotel. It is good but far off from Mandir.
Prayagraj - Anand bhavan, Alopi Mandir. Holy dip in triveni sangam - veni dan, pinda pradaan etc.. pandit, boatwala every one tried to loot to the extent possible. stayed in Cennet hotel, civil lines. Not worth for that value.
Varanasi- begin with kala bhIra a temple. Proceed to Kasi viswanath temple ( Sugam darsan), Anna poorna temple, visalaakshi temple, sankata mochana Hanuman etc .
Viswanath temple is clean and darsan is hassle free. But neec to walk 1 km from car parking. Other temples are very un Clean, need to work 1 km from parking.
Boat ride covering all ghats and ganga aarati in a private boat rs 5000.
Covered BHU, Saranath
Stayef in Mudra hotel - good.
gaya- vishnupada temple, pinda pradaan - same story - pandits every one loot, Durga Mata sakthi peet-
Bhidigaya - stayed in rajwada resort- better avoid.
