Tour guide wasnt boring and time flew really quickly.Would recommend to do it as soon as you come(can ask them any other questions you have unrelated to the tour)
Satish was a great guide—knowledgeable, and incredibly understanding of people’s needs (we traveled with our 79-year-old mum). He was also very accommodating, especially when we had to reschedule our tour from evening boat tour to morning boat tour due to flight cancellations
The tour itself was fantastic—rich with historical facts, fascinating anecdotes, and deeply moving moments. Everything was perfectly planned and executed.
My photo walk with Dhiraj Goswami was everything I had hoped it would be. He met me at my hotel on the Ganges before sunrise and we set out to immerse ourselves in the sights and sounds of the morning rituals of daily life in Varanasi. He proved to be patient and encouraging as I had a shaky start physically— feeling a bit off kilter. Once my I regained my bearings, we were able to focus on nurturing a photographer’s eye and point of view as he led me to locations with good bones for backdrops for the rich array of subjects that are the heart of this fascinating and colorful city. His accompaniment gave me entree to capturing photos for which I will always be grateful, while his technical tips were valuable as my intent and viewpoint are stronger than my photographic skills at this point! He is an encouraging teacher, talented photographer and a lovely spirit with whom to share a bit of this journey. Much gratitude!
We really enjoyed our tour with Mr. Satish Maurya. He is from Varanasi and shared his experience and knowledge with us. It is really helpful to have a guide to show you around Varanasi, and also explain what is going on around you, as well as to help you find a place to see the Aarti ceremony. Varanasi is a fascinating place, and to have someone with experience show you around is well worth it--- as well as to organize the boat tour and a good place to see the ceremony.
It was a great day tour going through key places in Varanasi. Highlight of the day is viewing Ganga Arathi from a nearby balcony which gives a great view of the whole event. My tour guide Bharat and the driver both were very professional and would highly recommend their services.
This was the perfect food tour—Manish took us to a variety of places to try a variety of dishes, but it was not too much. We loved everything we tried.
Varanasi is beautiful in the winters. The gaga Aarti at Assi ghat in the morning is over rated. The boat ride upto Namo ghat in the morning and evening is a must as it’s different experience.
The mankarnika ghat has become tourist attraction, however the energy is very different their and do not go without proper preparation and information. Check YouTube for that.
We stayed at this beautiful Ashirwad home stay , wonderful place and wonderful service. Must check out if you are looking for home away from home. Close to most areas and away from the noise of Varanasi.
Kashi Vishwanath was the highlight of the trip. Do go for the mangala aarti at 2 am. Worth it.
It’s a food paradise and go with local recommendations. Don’t forget to have Banarasi paan.
Vicky Dubey was a truly amazing guide, probably the best we’ve had on our trip to india. He was friendly, engaging and an expert on everything we did today, whilst making us feel at home in his city. He was a massive part in making a fanatic day for us full of memories.
Amaizing to experience the subtle and gentle way of teaching yoga in one of the most spiritual cities of the world. I am grateful for the attention and care received in my class and thanks to Ayush I am sure I am leaving Varanasi with a better view of life.
