- Nounou9 contributionsThis was an amazing experience with just one exception. I cannot understand that they would not provide available cover/shade for seating, as with the sun and heat so intense we were lucky that it was overcast for the first few days.
Please organisers of such a major event can you look at providing more availability for buying tickets in the shade. I went with my son and grandson and am looking forward to going again next year as it was a wonderful experience but PLEASE at 69 I would love to purchase a ticket in the shade so it can be a TRULY amazing experience. Many if the seats in the shade were not taken and I would have been happy to pay extra in order to get one of those seats.

The stadium may be the largest football field in Dubai, and the seats were cozy. From every seat, there is an unobstructed view of the pitch, and there are no pillars in the way. The local football team, Al Nasr, is based at the Al Maktoum stadium in Oud Metha. The facilities were superb - we were on pitch eight and it felt like we were running on a Bowling green. Can only imagine how nice the stadium pitch must be. The whole place was clean, modern and well equipped to facilitate many sports. The clubhouse was a thing of beauty, overlooking the ground like a five-star hotel.
Managed to grab a drink in the clubhouse bar afterwards and it did not disappoint either. Located in Dubai at the city walk and close to Dubai Mall, well planned in some parts of it. There is huge parking around the place and entry and exits bit confusing but it can be followed. Parking fee is ridicules for visitors or vendors, I don’t know about the visitors. The seating’s needs to be improved as you can sit very comfortable for long yet its small and narrow even for 5.5Ft person. It can take multiple types of events that is for sure. We went for a live concert and it was ok, yet I believe it can be improved to keep up with the place and brand reputation the sound system its good in some halls and others just cheap fixes Lights also. They don’t allow food and drinks from out and then you have limited choices inside with awkward price giving you no choice. Due to its location you need to be ready for heavy traffic, police giving fines and RTA as well. best go there by bus, Taxi or Metro. The food stalls were a bit on the steep side but I guess that is expected. We were quite far from the main stage, but they did have ample of the screens all over the place which showed the event! We didn't have too high expectations as the last game I went to had a very low crowd, however the stadium was nearly full. Good atmosphere, friendly supporters and only 20aed a ticket. There is also a new supporters shop and scarf sellers near the stadium.
