Our Tour guide was very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. He translated for me and the others while visiting different local vendors.

Lake Atitlan is a wonderful place that deserves more than a one-day visit. But if you are in Antigua with just a one-day window, then this tour is a great choice.

We visited three villages by the lake, walked around beautiful streets, learnt about coffee production at small plantation of a local café and about cotton weaving and coloring at a local co-op, and more.

Juan was an excellent guide, knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us a choice of where to go in the villages, but also made great recommendations, so the tour struck a perfect balance between free time and fixed schedule. Strongly recommend!

Everything was organized very well, including transfers from and to Antigua, flights, and actual Tikal adventure. Our guide was very intelligent and knowledgeable, and the site experience was outstanding. The ruins and pyramids are magnificent, definitely worth visiting. Lunch was very tasty, with a choice of meat, chicken or vegetarian meal. Strongly recommend this trip!

I highly recommend this trip if you want to experience the beauty of this magnificent scenery and the culture of the people in the towns located on Lake Atitllan. Our guide, Davis, was extremely knowledgeable about the indigenous culture and the history of the region. This trip opened our eyes to the beauty of a part of Guatemala that simply cannot be experienced unless one sees it firsthand. Well done!

This is the second time I have done the ATV tour and it was as much fun as the first time! Daryl was an amazing guide and we had a blast. Don’t be intimidated by an ATV. I am a grandmother and I had no trouble at all after Daryl’s instructions and assistance. I felt very safe and loved riding through the villages and feeling the fresh air. This is so much better than a bus! I would ride with Simon tours again in a heartbeat!

We had a great evening with Esteban. He was very informative about the city and the culture. He made the trek up to the volcano interesting with stories from our local guide. Once we made it to the top our dinner was perfect. Would definitely recommend this tour!

Wow, what a wonderful experience! Our tourguide was excellent and gave us a lot of good information regarding the history of the area, the geography and local plants/trees! The hike is challenging so be ready for that! Wear good hiking boots and I would recommend renting the walking stick at the start of the hike (10 quetzales per person). But so worth it and just amazing views.

A private tour of a magical city was a great way to spend a beautiful day in Antigua. Everything was timely, drive was smooth and Rueben was simply a extremely knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide. I am so glad I took this tour because I would have missed so many facts that I recommend this tour highly if you are headed to Antigua.

Fabulous tour today hiking up the Pacaya Volcano. The tour was about 4 to 5 hours in total. Just the right amount of time. Our tour guide David (Mynor) was friendly and knowledgeable. He even roasted marshmallows for us utilizing the heat from the volcano. That by itself was worth the trip. Overall, I recommend this tour. I had an amazing experience.

I recently chaperoned a student group (high school) to Antigua and we wanted to go Pana for a day and visit the surrounding towns of Lake Atitlan. Voyageur was easy to work with from the States and responded promptly to my questions. On the day of the trip we arrived late to Pana from Antigua due to traffic and students that needed a longer rest stop. When the guide (Alejandro) explained that we could only fit in one town, he explained a little about each one and asked which I preferred. I thought he did a great job listening to my requests for a town that had a bit of culture and history and less shopping. He took us to Santiago and explained about the political conflicts and the impact of the civil war. He also did a great job explaining the power of the Catholic church and the complexities of merging Mayan beliefs into that power structure. The students had a worthwhile experience and I felt very safe while chaperoning my group. I also want to say thanks to Julio our bus driver. He was courteous and seemed to enjoy the group of students...even when they played music in the back of the bus! One of the students really wanted to practice speaking Spanish with him and he invited him to sit up front and they discussed all sorts of topics as they drove. Thank you Julio and Alejandro! Thanks Voyageur Tours!

We were picked up fairly promptly by our guide at the hotel. The drice to Iximche took about 1 1/2 hours. It was up in green mountains on a ridge. There is a smal museum. The ruins have not been reconstructed. It was a very beautiful and interesting place. While there a groupshowed up. They had come to do a traditional ceremony at one of the altars. The priest had come from a village 8 hours away. Iximche translates to corn tree. It was another 1+ to Antigua. It is an old town with cobblestone streets and colonial architecture. There are many signs of the large earthquake that made the Spanish move the capitol to Guatemala City,

We were fortunate to have Carmen as our Tour Guide. She was professional, palpably passionate about Mayan culture and possessed a wealth of Guatemalan historical knowledge. Throughout our day together, she demonstrated helpfulness, patience, and generosity toward us. Her personal stories and anecdotes truly illuminated our experience. We were blessed to witness several Mayan ancestral ceremonies behind the ruins in real time with her guidance of respectful observation. The Antigua afternoon was relaxed and fun with cacao tastings and a mini Jade tour, in addition to shopping, gelato, cathedrals and more historical tidbits. We highly recommend this tour and suggest you specifically request Carmen as your Guide. You will be grateful that you did.

Thank you. Great time visiting Antigua. I opted out of the Guatemala City tour but I am sure that was just as informative and interesting.
