Whether you are fighting with the hordes of travelers at rush hour or can find an opportunity to view the most spectacular metro stations anywhere, it is always worth a moment to pause and look around.
The Moscow metro is one of the most historic and beautiful sights to see when in Moscow - each station is a museum and an art studio of its own.

Great view and contribution to the many who died in Stalingrad.
It is easy to reach the entire site (including Mamaev) with the trolley that goes from one side of the town to the other.
Ascension Cathedral Novocherkassk
Although I think it is a very pleasant city, this cathedral is probably one of the few sites that tourists really need to make a determined effort to visit.
From the cathedral, enjoy a breathtaking view of the city.
The views from up their are worth the walk alone, but the golden interior is really something to see.
