Lots of major international brand names with many eateries and shops. One of the megamalls of Jakarta.

Multi-level with 2 wings and a very large variety of shops. Safe for tourists, but it gets crowded so watch your belongings.

Istiklal Mosque is one of the largest mosques in the world. The mosque offered a guided tour for tourist every 30 minutes. Incoming tourist are guided to a waiting room, in which you side up for tour service (provides basic information, such as family name, country of origin, etc.). The information is not checked.
During the guided tour of the Mosque, you will be asked to remove your shoes before entering the mosque. A bag is provided to carry your shoes. You are also provided with Hajib, though it seems to be optional during the visit.
The guided tour takes a quick walk around the Mosque, which has 5 floors and may accommodate up to 120,000 people. Though during our visit, it doesn’t seem to be anywhere near at capacity (we visited during the Night Journey of the Prophet Muhammad SAW day). You can take pictures within the Mosque. The entire tour take about 0.5 hour.

The area surrounding the National Monument was under heavy guard and restriction when we visited with all traffic banned at the entry gates. We had to wait until the dignitaries with police escort passed through before we were allowed to approach the gates. Impressive monument from a distance, 137m high obelisk topped with a 14.5m bronze flame coated with 32kg of gold leaf.

We were looking forward to our visit only to discover that barriers were erected across the aisles at the rear pews and no artificial lighting through the nave. Took a long distant photo of the altar and a few plaques and statues at the rear. The building is neo-Gothic style with distinctive white spires extending over the front of the building. The Cathedral dates to 1901, replacing an earlier structure from 1829 that collapses in 1890.

The area was once the first walled settlement of the Dutch colonists in Jakarta, and later became the de facto capital of the Dutch East Indies. The area was proclaimed a heritage site in 1972 by the Governor of Jakarta. Our guide mentioned that many buildings were allowed to fall into disrepair or were demolished despite the heritage listing. A revitalisation of the area commenced in 2005 and 16 buildings were restored by 2014. We enjoyed our stroll and visits to the museum.

Kokas is a nice mall to visit with family, friends or alone. There are so many tenants and events here. Especially if you're looking for (unique/intersting) food. You can find food society, little tokyo, eat republic and many cafés here.

Interesting guided walk through the former Batavia City Square, plenty of locals and tourists about, kiddies playing on the ancient cannons, a couple of human statues, lovely colonial buildings along the boundaries and the museums. Unfortunately, the fountain was in a state of disrepair.

Suropati Park is located in the central Jakarta area and many Jakarta residents use it as a place to exercise and relax

The condition of the Suropati park is quite well maintained and clean. Residents are generally busy in the morning and evening.

as far as I know, the nearest MRT station to the shopping mall is Blok M BCA station. One can go there by online transportation offered by, such as, gojek or grab. I admire the varieties and number of restaurants it has. The place is also worthy to be a one-stop shopping place in Jakarta.

There are many malls IN Djakarta but this one is one of the best. Nicely air-conditioned, clean and cozy. There are an array of restaurant to choose. Security is very tight.

though it seems there is only expensive shops lining up, the food court is something worth trying. Customers are expected to get the cutlery themselves which is one way to go green. So come to dine in at Senayan City.

Great place to shop for affordable clothes and shoes if you're not looking for branded products. There are loads of counterfeit products but the quality varies. It's is quite a huge marketplace so prepare to spend some time here. We found this market experience better than Mangga Dua.
