What travellers are saying
- Ben KingLondon, UK66 contributionsWe went to the garden and saw some beautiful plants, flowers, trees, woven into traditional spiritual buildings. We nearly missed the main attraction - the chi lin nunnery. It’s at the back of the garden and is sublime. The temple is one of the best I have seen (so far) in Asia and is very respectful and quaint.Written 18 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TaherAlbaghliJulianKuwait City, Kuwait1,923 contributionsHong Kong is a modern and developed city full of skyscrapers. Moreover it is one of the best cities in the world. In my view watching city view from skyline cool especially

- TaherAlbaghliJulianKuwait City, Kuwait1,923 contributionsThis area of the city has changed and become dirty and full of rats, grenades, and unpleasant odors. However, shops, kiosks and restaurants are still open. I advise you to avoid this place.Written 25 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ben KingLondon, UK66 contributionsLong story short, this is one of the craziest sights you will see in the modern world. When you first gaze at it, you’re speechless. - fire-tower3,088 contributionsWe have not been to the Ladies Market for a couple of years, and we visited this place on a Monday night. Over the years, we note the degrading of the market in that it does not command the level of visitors of the past. The wares are also not that interesting, other than a couple of souvenir stalls. The handbags, etc, carrying the big brands are likely to be copies. When we asked the price of a pouch we were interested, the stall-keeper gave a ridiculous price, which steadily reduced to half the original asking price when we did not bite and started to walk away. So do look around and haggle if you are indeed interested in a purchase.Written 10 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The signage to here from the MTR was not properly provided in English so we followed google maps. It's a decent climb up to the top but well worth it at the top. The statues of Buddhas that you pass are amazing. Great view of mountains and town at the top with numerous statues. You can enter the temple hall which was amazing. I am glad we got to visit this place.Written 13 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KrazzMelbourne, Australia213 contributionsThis was a nice find in the middle of the city. It's not very big but it was relaxing walking around the park in the shade. Lots of seats also. You can easily tick this off your list when exploring the city.Written 13 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KrazzMelbourne, Australia213 contributionsThere are lots of street markets in Hong Kong and this is one of the more popular ones. It's a long strip of food and shopping stalls. Great place to purchase souvenirs. Lots of different food available especially the traditional foods. It's a nice atmosphere at night with the lights. Highly recommend.Written 13 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Shalli AngSingapore, Singapore764 contributionswe took bus 21 from Ngong Ping village to the Tai Po. Tried the 20mins dolphin sightseeing boat ride at HKD 40 and managed to catch a quick sight of the white dolphin.
We walked around the street near the canal and tried the many local snacks.
