Best view of the light show is by boat in the middle of the harbour. The light show is free and can be seen from the shore but to see both sides, a boat is best.

This trip is although considered as a "tourist" trip - it is by far better than what it sounds like. The boat takes 2 hours going from Central Pier 9 to Aberdeen (old fishing village) and back. The Dim Sum that is served is anything touristic - it is very very good Dim Sum by all standards - so no worry about the "tourist cheat" trap that one often encounters. Here you are really treated very well and well fed "! I highly recommend the tour - it is super relaxing and a real fun drive !

The operators provided the contact details of the guide as soon as tour was confirmed, was great to be able to contact to confirm rendezvous. Samuel, our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable and we were soon chatting away like old friends. The dim sum restaurant to try the local ware a very nice touch. Another great way to see the ‘real’ Hong Kong.

You can get a free ride on shuttle bus from the ferry terminus to The Venetian to start with. From there catch a shuttle to Lisboa. From Lisboa you can walk all the way to St.Paul's and back. And finally ask the Lisboa doorman to put you on a shuttle back to the ferry.

We took the layover tour with Richard. This was our first visit to Hong King and it turned out to be a great way to sample it’s famous sights, culture, food, history and geography. Richard adjusted the tour as per our preferences and along the way gave us insights into various aspects of Hong Kong. Besides popular places he also took us off the beaten path to give us an insiders view. All in all the tour exceeded our expectations and is highly recommended.

Mandy was phenomenal! I know this review is ridiculously long overdue but that has nothing to do with her effort or her tour. She had great information for the four of us - just there for one day before a cruise - showed us the highlights, introduced us to some interesting foods and areas, adjusted according to what we were enjoying, and really just felt like a friend giving us a tour. We all agreed that we couldn’t have done better.
