This area of the city has changed and become dirty and full of rats, grenades, and unpleasant odors. However, shops, kiosks and restaurants are still open. I advise you to avoid this place.

Lan Kwai Fong is a small square of streets in Central, Hong Kong. The area is always busy. Furthermore it is The nightlife hotspot on the island. note good for families at
night because there are a lot of hookers walking around.

we took bus 21 from Ngong Ping village to the Tai Po. Tried the 20mins dolphin sightseeing boat ride at HKD 40 and managed to catch a quick sight of the white dolphin.
We walked around the street near the canal and tried the many local snacks.
Going back to Hong Kong central was another long ride on the public bus and transfer onto MTR.

Stayed at a hotel in the area. The area is buzzing with plenty of sights. Traipsed around some streets and had a peek into the life on the island.

I have stayed in the Causeway Bay area several times in the past, and absolutely love it. It is well connected by MTR, buses and trams, has plenty of food and shopping options. Food-wise, there are lots of restaurants, cha chang tends, hole-in-wall eateries, etc, and you will be spoilt for choice. The famed Yee Shun Milk Company is in this area.

It is one of the busy street in Honk Kong. I came to this place with my family. The street is full of shops, and restaurants. At night, the street is illuminated with all the neon signs. Shops are expensive. Also, one of the top sight seeing is Kowloon Park. I advice
you come at night because the weather too hot in the morning.

It was an easy and scenic bus ride from the city, we took bus 6. We visited on a weekday so the crowds were much less. It is quite different being away from the city and see the beach. The promenade is a nice walk with shops lining the street. Stanley market was ok but some shops were not open. Stanley Plaza had some shops and a supermarket. We also walked on the other side past Murray house and part of Ma Hang Park. Overall a nice day out.

Sai Kung is a wonderful area just a 20-30 minute drive from Kowloon. Here, you’ll find green nature, beautiful beaches, delicious seafood, and peace—a much-needed break from Hong Kong's hectic hustle among the skyscrapers.

We splurged and stayed for 4 days at the luxury WM Hotel with sea views, an infinity pool, and a huge breakfast buffet.

But you can't just sit around all day, right? You need to explore the beautiful nature and find one of the fantastic beaches.

The goal of the hike is Trio Beach. This beach is only accessible by hikers and from the sea—you can sail there in 10 minutes with a cheap ferry (sampan) from Pak Sha Wan Pier.

We found a walking route on Google Maps from the WM Hotel to Trio Beach. It’s about 4.5 km each way.

Alternatively, you can find almost the same route on alltrails.com, starting from Pak Sha Wan and ending at Trio Beach. The hike is called ‘Trio Beach Hike.’

The hike is moderately challenging. Much of the trail is on bumpy gravel paths, going up and down hills. Around you, there’s lovely nature, butterflies, and stunning views of water on both sides.

It's a beautiful and slightly challenging hike. Bring plenty of water, a sun hat, and swimwear. Trio Beach is a lovely sandy beach with fantastic water, changing rooms, and a kiosk selling drinks and snacks.

Whether you walk back (like we did) or take a sampan depends on your mood and energy.

It is market for the locals and each street is for a specific good, like toys, fashion, electronics etc.

Pretty interesting place with good bargains.

Presently, the Design District Hong Kong (#DDHK) organisation is putting on their third creative tourism event, after successful runs in Wan Chai and Sham Shui Po in recent years. This time around they make use of Tsuen Wan as the setting for a handful of art installations and projects adorning various squares, footbridges, parks, gardens and promenades around the district.

The project is called Vivid Tsuen Wan (18 Aug to 14 Sept 2023) and presents the work of local and international artists. You can find a map and general information on each of the art stops on the DDHK 'Vivid Tsuen Wan' website. Definitely worth downloading the pdf map and making use of Google Maps while making way between one highlight stop to another.

Allow a couple hours to wind your way through the district taking in each stop. There are malls throughout so if you find yourself getting too hot, just pop in and have a quick cool down before preceding.

Overall, not a bad little activity for those who have done the main tourism rounds during past visits to HK and are looking for something new and different to do.

Hong kong was an amazing destination, a little bit of that big city vibes, but with a twist of a strong locality / culture. Apart from the city itself, hong kong also has a lot of out of the city destination, you name it from disneyland, the big buddha and victoria peak. These would probably the best three that you should go if you are only coming for a short time.

Do bear in mind, things in hong kong are busy, i was there over the weekend and all of the mentioned attractions has tons of people queueing, not only to go up (in) but also to go down (out).

Food is heaven, from the street side shop to the restaurant, i could not think of any food i did not like.

So many great attractions to visit from Tung Chung

You can catch the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car to Lantau Island to visit the Tiah Tan Buddha, Po Lin Monastery or the Path to Wisdom

You can also visit the city Gate outlets and do some shopping

This area is largely reclaimed land on the East side of Chatham Road and a short walk from our hotel. There are many office buildings, hotels and shopping complexes, a feature of the area being pedestrian plazas separating the structures. The promenade starts here and carries through to the old clock tower at the Cultural Centre. Probably not as vibrant as the Tsim Sha Tsui area but more comfortable to visit restaurants and other venues without the hordes.
