We had an in-depth exploration and explanation of Sham Sui Po, and got to eat delicious local food. Also got to explore the goldfish market, and ended the tour in TST by the waters.
I loved that we got to learn a bit about the history of Hong Kong as well.

- marymary27Scarborough, UK946 contributionsLinda was an excellent guide, informative and friendly. She looked after everybody, and at the end of the tour we all felt like friends. At the start of the tour Linda explained that because of the weather (fog) we would not be going to The Peak. Some people would receive links to get tickets for independent visits later in the day with the hope that the weather improved. This depended on the booking site used. One man who was not getting the link was quite aggressive, Linda dealt with this very well I thought, and the man left the group having been given a phone number to contact for a refund. Bill is a fantastic teacher and organiser.
We were met promptly as planned at the railway station, then a delightful walk looking and explaining what we saw at the various food market shops and a little information about Hong Kong.
It was a small group of enthusiastic, amateur cooks (like myself), and 4 simple dishes, including dumplings. We watched then practiced. Then ate. Everything was delicious 😋
The class went longer than the 4 hours scheduled too. And, we could take home any leftovers.
Definitely value for money.

Kiyo was an excellent guide and spent the first half of the 2.5 hour tour explaining the history of Hong Kong, and the second half describing current life in the city.
