Very different from the traditional walking tours, you get to know locals through their eating habits and they are genuinely happy to share their traditions with those who take the time to come to them.
I would highly recommend her tours, both the food tour as well as the free Central walking tour.

One of the better tours we have taken and well worth it.
A fascinating tour that includes a ferry cruise across Hong Kong Harbour, a visit to the Tai O fishing village with houses on stilts and ride the Ngong Ping Skyrail 360 cable car up to see the Tian Tan "Big Buddha...

The Blue Line travels through Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, and Mon Kok; the Red Line tours central Hong Kong; and the Green Line runs out of the city, along the coastline, to Stanley and Aberdeen.
Thanks Joy! Joy gave us a real joy when we took the tours with big bus!

Roast pork the best, lots of really interesting tidbits of information about Hong Kong now and yesterday; just a great day out for us, who are normally averse to tours!

I know there are a ton of food tours to choose from, but the attention to detail and high level of service makes the Hello Hong Kong Small Group Tour worth every penny!
There were only 9 of us on the tour, which made it quite intimate and enjoyable, 2 from the USA and 7 from UK. Wish we could have Mel on all of our tours.

Great amount of fact and suggestions for further activities Follow up email with links to documentaries and further research if you're interested - really one of the best walking tours i've done (and i've done many!)
While I enjoy both types of tours, I would strongly recommend Hong Kong Free Walking tours if you wish to get a more in depth understanding of Hong Kong.

As the best food tours often are, the excursion served as a wonderful introduction to the city and its culture.
After hearing about Hong Kong Foodie, we decided we wanted to take both the Central and Sham Shui Po tours.

However, it initially seemed pricey based upon our experiences with walking tours in various cities throughout the world.
The tour is interesting and interactive, and Danny Fung is an engaging and very knowledgable host who follows an organised timeline of events which is easy to follow and appreciate.

My husband and I visited Hong Kong in early November and took two tours through Big Foot tours (Real Hong Kong and New Territories) both with Ivan.
We contacted Bigfoot Tours about two weeks before our trip, as I've always found walking tours to be one of the best ways to see a city like Hong Kong.
