What travellers are saying
- Flybug_2012Singapore, Singapore500 contributionsRather quiet but things run very smoothly. Immigration is e-counter clearance. So many eateries closed down. Where are all the crowds … sad. Wish HK all the best and catch up the success soon.Written 19 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CodyMavGold Coast, Australia27,708 contributionsWent here on purpose to find a new glass screen for my samsung s7, only to discover they don't support such an "old" model. They directed me to Tung Choi Street where a similar collection of shops have more of that, and I did get a high quality protector.
Still a great place for camera gearWritten 2 February 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I always buy the Chinese facial cream for wrinkles that work so good for me. Unfortunately I can't buy it in my country.Written 6 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Meremale60Upper Coomera, Australia496 contributionsLooking for a quick snack we decided on Maccas, and for a veery busy airport ordering and service was very quick and simple, plus plenty of tables for the large numbers.Written 31 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JBJWichita, KS440 contributionsIf you know what you're looking for and go with a HK friend, you can get a good deal here, but I wouldn't really recommend it otherwise. It's almost shoulder-to-shoulder in places, and I'm not sure the prices are worth it. If you just want the experience, go through quickly and come back out to breathe.Written 5 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mondragonLondon, UK237 contributionsThis is one of our most favourite department stores in the world as it has a good mix of high end and high street- it doesn’t reall have designer but all goods are well sourced. They also have a stunning food hall and grocery store in the basement. Items we always purchase are kids character bed linen as they have all different sizes with high thread counts, Japanese knives, Kids character cutlery and plates and food! The basement restaurant on the right as you walk in from the MTR is excellent value for money for their lunch sets. We always return to this store!Written 1 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BradJillHong Kong, China156,946 contributionsThe 298 Computer Zone is located near the Hennessy and Johnston Road Intersection in Wanchai. This is a multiple storey, low-rent arcade setup with tightly packed floors, lined with computer, parts, accessories, hardware, games and other electronic gadgets. You'll find computer and mobile repair shops as well. It is similar to the Wanchai Computer Centre just down the street as well as computer arcades in Mongkok and Sham Shui Po.
Shops are open generally open from 10am to 9pm. You can browse more freely on weekdays and earlier in the day. On the other hand it can get rather busy on weekends. Remember, prices can be noticeably lower in places like 298 but you get what you pay for and forget about return policies.Written 26 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They have four places around the city including this flagship department store on Des Voeux Road in Sheung Wan. Opening hours are 10am to 7.30pm daily.
What you find are four floors of traditional department store shopping with aisles of clothing, footwear, accessories, bags, luggage, all manner of kitchen and household items, toiletries, cosmetics, health products, toys, stationary and other related items. There are sales staff everywhere as well if assistance is needed.
Note: This flagship Wing On is located near several Sheung Wan MTR exits. You can visit their website to find the location of the three other department stores in TST, TST East and Discovery Bay if useful.Written 8 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This is also something of a throughput walkway for those transversing between the business centre area around Connaught Road, the Admiralty MTR, Pacific Place Shopping Mall area south of Queensway.
There is heavy pedestrian traffic here during weekday rush hour periods but during weekends, its not to bad. Interestingly, Queensway Plaza is lined with quality shops that were crowded out of proper malls by luxury and high-end retail brands during pre-pandemic years. The result being Queensway Plaza evolving into surplus shopping area but with good quality food and retail shops. Still not a place likely to be of much interest to visitors to Hong Kong, whenever they are can come back. However, these days it is surprisingly decent shopping space for locals.Written 17 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is located on Chung On Street and is two separate buildings connected by footbridge. Combined Kalour Phase I and II provide around 31,000 square metres of low key shopping in the town centre area. Shop opening hours are around 10am to 10pm daily.
At Kolour you will find small local retail shops with some recognisable brand name places, discount shops like Price Mart, Mannings pharmacist, Starbucks coffee shop and the likes. It is a upgrade from the tiny crammed halls of some of the arcade shopping venues near Tsuen Wan MTR Station but a couple grades below some of the newer and more modern places like those near Nina Tower and the Tsuen Wan West Station.Written 17 March 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Very convenient for this area as there are plenty of international customers who will find lots of westernized items that reminded them of home.Written 4 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BradJillHong Kong, China156,946 contributionsHarvey Nichols is a British based luxury department store which presently has two places here in Hong Kong, one at Pacific Place (Admiralty) and this place at Landmark Atrium (Central) along Queen's Road Central. They are open from 11am to 8pm daily and focus on designer brand name fashion, clothing, accessories, jewellery, cosmetics and beauty products.
The Landmark based Harvey Nichols used to have a fourth floor cafe but that has long been closed to make room for more retail space. Harvey Nichols puts together some of the most genuinely creative and interesting window displays year round. It is a nice to pass by and see particularly around Christmas time each year for this purpose as well.Written 11 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not really a place for tourists, it offers some chain stores and reasonably priced restaurants. It may not offer any interesting characteristics, but hikers may find it a good stopping point for replenishment.Written 21 March 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LeonhknyHong Kong, China12,723 contributionsThis is the only shopping mall in Repulse Bay. Surprisingly not touristy, it is actually a pretty cool place with plenty of areas to meander. Shops mainly cater to residents nearby and dining options are fine. Great stop when around the beach.Written 9 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
