You can see quite a lot in a short time by walking along Hollywood Rd. It runs between Central and Sheung Wan and the highlights range from colonial history to antiques, street art and traditional temples.
    i) TAI KWUN CENTRE - This is a good starting point. A newly restored complex of colonial buildings, it includes free historical exhibitions inside the old magistracy and Victoria Gaol, the JC gallery, several shops, restaurants and bars. From here, if you head past the Mid-Levels escalator, it’s about a 10 min walk to the Man Mo Temple.
ii) ANTIQUES - once famous as a centre of antiques, I’m not sure if Hollywood Rd can still make that claim. However there are still a large number of galleries and antique shops, selling anything from high-end antique furniture to Mao memorabilia.
iii) STREET ART - I particularly like the colourful street art. Organisations like HKWalls have attracted international and local artists, who have used the city walls as an open-air canvas. Most instagrammable, is the popular Graham St mural on the side wall of the G.O.D. shop.
iv) MAN MO TEMPLE - Built in 1842, this is one of HK’s oldest temples and is free to enter. If you’re only seeing one temple, then this is a good one to choose. It’s large and colourful, with a haze of smoky incense and giant spiralling incense coils hanging from the ceiling.
    v) CAT ST - A slight detour across the road, will take you away from Hollywood Rd down to Cat St market, an open-air antiques and bric-a-brac market lane. You’ll find trinkets and treasures ranging from Mao statues to movie posters, jade, old watches and mah jong sets. I like to look out for the blue and white ginger jars that you can often find here at reasonable prices.

Amazing selection. Honest, passionate and inspirational shop. This shop carries a wide range of whiskies, gin, cognac and what must be the most complete collection of Laberdolive Armangac in Hong Kong, if not the world!! The full range of spirits is mind-blowing, and the staff are all friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommended for any amateur to the most sophisticated connoisseur.

Honeychurch Antiques is located towards one end of the Hollywood Road antiques area, but it has a unique charm all of its own and some really lovely objects. You are made to feel welcome and the owners take time to discuss the items with you and show you around. They also own an apartment next door that is full of the most beautiful objects and they are happy to give you a guided tour. I chose two objects that were tagged at a fair price, but I received a further 20% discount, which came as a very pleasant surprise. The whole atmosphere is different from a lot of the other shops in the road, where you are just followed round the store by the owner - Honeychurch actually help. Thanks Honeychurch - I'll be back.

Vintage Maze is a neat place with an eclectic collection of old toys, vintage clothing, household items and decorations, coins, badges, accessories and interesting old and odd things to look at. It is a bit kitsch and a lot of vintage bundle of curiosities, worth a look-see if you plan to do a bit of shopping at The One or are in TST and have interest.

Vintage Maze is located on the 6/F of The One shopping mall in TST. Opening hours are 12pm to 9pm daily.

Ricky actually has an art and antique shop in TST but I met him by being a little adventurous. Ducked far back in an narrow alley, right off from the hustle and bustle of the iSquare shopping mall and Chungking Mansions he's set up shop displaying some really nice original paintings. He's also a calligraphist and has a nice selection of work. On top of everything, he's a really nice guy!

Accidentally bumped into a little elegant vintage shop. It is located in a 1970s mall (2/F Melbourne Plaza), right in the heart of Central. Interesting varieties, such as jewellery, ceramics, silver / glass ware and costume accessories, etc. Affordable price. Good selection from both east and west. Worth my visit!

Oh man, the Hermes Reseller is a luxury lover's paradise! The staff there were so friendly and knowledgeable, and they showed me some of the most exquisite Hermes items I've ever seen nor ever imagine held one of these. I went in looking for a used bag and ended up leaving with a stunning brand new Birkin 40. The store had a great selection of Hermes items, and I could have spent all day admiring their collections of handbags. It's kinda hard to find tho.
