The bar is at the roof top of the East Hotel, with a panoramic view of the harbour. A perfect place for a chill out with friends or family.

Great value and huge selection of scotch in Sheung Wan. Be careful, you could be there all day. Cheers!

Spending our last night in HK at Darkside was the best decision we could have made. It was genuinely an amazing experience, from their drinks to the ambiance.

Subi, our server, was really friendly and attentive. She gave us amazing drinks recommendations which perfectly suited to our taste and ensured we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Will undoubtedly return when we next travel to Hong Kong.

The Iron Fairies is simply an iconic bar in Hong Kong. Every time I have been it has been very busy and I am told at the weekend the queues can take a long time. However, this is absolutely no surprise because the interior is stunning. It creates a really nice ambiance for drinking or chilling after work. This is made better by the fantastic staff- the drinks too are very good, but slightly on the expensive side. Everything about my experience was amazing apart from one crucial aspect of a bar- the music. The DJ was far from impressive and often did not even attempt to mix songs in, it was very choppy with songs cut out at weird places and no blending of new songs. This was quite disappointing as one would expect a bar of this stature to employ a decent DJ. The music selection was ok- there were some good songs but I was distracted by the mixing (or lack of). I look forward to going back and hearing a DJ mixing properly, because I have no doubt that will make this one of the best bars in Hong Kong.

Been coming here since they opened and after many iterations such as staff changes, JB seems to be thriving again.

Entrance staff can be friendlier but management (Jasmin) makes up for that.

Definitely still one of my top 3 favorite speakeasies in HK.

Conveniently located in the busy district, a good place for casual drinks and to relax after a long day at work. A very wide range of drinks and food available. Very nice to step outside to the terrace for shisha. Classic and "old school" design (very befitting the atmosphere - good!) Highly recommended!

Our Chinese host dined us royally at a special dinner party at the Cricket Club. The main dishes were Peking Duck and Beggar's Chicken, both prepared table side. The other dishes were wonderful too. An unforgettable evening. WOW!

I just went for Ding Ding Comedy night! It was an awesome event with 5 different comedians. They were all hilarious and it was a great time. $185 HKD if you buy the tickets before and $250 at the door. Would recommend for a great even after a fun dinner in Sheung Wan.

I met two friends for afternoon tea at Dear Lilly. Was surprised how small the restaurant was, partly because the very romantic decor used cage like booths for individual tables and therefore took a lot of room in order to create a more private setting. We sat in the open area by the window and so had the better. The view of the harbour is great. The afternoon tea set was $318 for two persons but as we were three, I asked if tea could be served for three and they said they could add a third for the same per person price (ie. $159) if all three tea sets were served on the same tray.

The 3 tiered tray had 3 scones on the top deck - either raisin or plain, the second tier had 4 different desserts and the bottom tier was a selection of 4 different finger sandwiches - a good amount of food for afternoon tea. Scones were OK but nothing special. Of the desserts, our group liked the Coconut Vacherin with the tangy passionfruit curd and the Canele was a nice surprise with the Jamaica rum as it was not very sweet at all. Best of the finger sandwiches for me was the shrimp and crab cocktail sandwich. I had tea and my friends chose iced lemon tea since it was hot. As I liked strong tea, the restaurant was happy to put in 2 tea bags for extra strength.

Service was prompt and we enjoyed our afternoon tea very much.

In terms of unexpected things, after I sat down the server came to advise that there was a 90 minute dining limit. As it turned out, we actually stay about 1 hr 45 min before staff came by to discreetly mention there was another reservation coming in soon and so we quickly left. Nevertheless, I think the standard practice for restaurants is, and should be, to advise of any dining time limit during the booking process and not after I had booked and already arrived at the restaurant. There was no mention of a dining time limit when I made my on-line booking on the restaurant's own website and neither the confirmation of reservation e-mail nor the subsequent e-mail asking me to confirm we were coming made any mention of a time limit for the table.

A second fault, which I have seen frequently mentioned in other reviews, is that the phone for the restaurant is never answered. I wanted to inquire about dress code since the weather was extremely warm and tried calling the restaurant in the morning, in the afternoon and in the evening on different days. I let the phone ring 20 times or more but it was never answered. I then sent an e-mail making the inquiry and only when I sent a second e-mail captioned "PLEASE RESPOND ASAP" on the day of my reservation did i get a response.

Delicious burgers and cold drinks! Perfect place to stop after a long hike or visit to Mui Wo. Pleasant views of the water and the children enjoyed watching the ferries come and go. Also conveniently located close to the bus stop and taxi stand.
