I had read reviews of the one and only Asaf and was star struck when I saw him there in person! LOL. One of the genuinely sweetest person in Tel Aviv; I was truly impressed with his generosity and passion of managing the gallery which I just heard won the best gallery at the latest World Art Dubai!! Upon my return to Hong Kong, I am spreading the word of mouth and hope to be back soon. The shop is interesting as there are a lot of well made items not available elsewhere as well as books about Bauhaus. - Tom RWoodbridge, VA52 contributionsI first discovered Frank Meisler's Gallery over 30 years ago while serving in the U.S. Army in the Sinai Egypt. I would come to Israel often and visit this Gallery trying to figure out which of the many items that I could afford I wanted the most. It was a hard choice but I still love the Jerusalem box I bought then. During the first Gulf War I went back with the Patriot Missile crews and had time to buy another treasure. Recently, I went back. Mr. Meisler had passed away the year before, but his younger daughter is keeping the Gallery going strong. Iris is a brilliant yet understated artist who puts so much of herself into her paintings. Her life experiences, the joys and sorrows, and technique are beautiful. There are sculptures large and small, some simple and others, highly intricate. It is a great gallery in the Neve Tzedek neighborhood in Tel Aviv. The art is eclectic and there is something for everyone.
