For me things went very well. We entered the site at 11.30 and stayed till 16:15.
Enough time to see the monastery. I was surprised on how many people were saying the road till there is difficult and maybe it is worth going on mule.... The road till the monastery it is more than OK for average fit people. even children can make it.... sincerely.
I would not recommend to take the ride with an animal because it is dangerous, they tend to walk on the edge ... and it is plain animal cruelty the way they are treated and I never seen anyone giving water or food to any of very many donkeys that I saw there…
Even now it was ok, I think it has to do a lot with the fact it is extra season. I can totally see how in high season a lot of delays can be added and I totally believe the people who said they arrived in Petra at 13.30…
I believe that the company it is doing they best but there are things that can definitely be improved. people were very nice and tried being helpful. The lunch made laugh a little.
Even if you arrive late at Petra enjoy what you can. it is breathtaking.

The dive was unbelievably amazing, I'm still waiting for my pics to see if they came out good though... I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Eilat or just looking for a thrilling action packed adventure! The attendants were extremely kind and helpful, and they all speak multiple languages, so if you speak Hebrew English or Russian (maybe other languages also, just these I'm certain about) you're good to go! For an extra 75 nis a person they'll photograph and video you underwater...

This was the only tour I found that could get us across the border from Eilat to Petra. For a full day, the price isn’t bad. However, plan on doubling this price because you will pay - in cash - another $135 (if my memory serves me correctly) to a “random man” at the border crossing.
They were 45 minutes late picking us up from our hotel, but ignoring the high tariff to cross, they made the movement to Petra pretty hassle-free.
Petra is beautiful but we only had about 3 hours to explore it- didn’t make it more than 1/3 of the way through. Our guide was very knowledgeable but we would’ve preferred more time exploring more of the city. The guide did give us 15 minutes at the start and 40 at the end to explore on our own (plenty of time to pay a Bedouin kid to take you to the top of the cliff facing the treasury *** if you are relatively fit***).
All in all, we paid (a lot) for convenience because we could sleep in the car and didn’t have to bring out money for lunch. Wadi Rum would have been a fun place to stop in rather than just drive by but we did have a time crunch for crossing the border coming back to Israel.
I already recommended this tour to a friend but it’s because other options (from Israel) are rare.
Very informative tour but very expensive and not a ton of time in Petra itself.

Alex was knowledgeable and interesting. He kept the tour fun and looked after each member of the group. The drive through the valley was beautiful. It was full of desert colored hills and wildlife. The lookout was a great spot to enjoy the end of the evening. We got some awesome photos with a view of everything.

I never thought that Cairo could impress me so much. And here we decided to go. They paid $ 180 for one person, there were not many people, so the bus was comfortable. Among the shortcomings - the wild heat in the desert, but thanks to the guide Ibrahim- it was amazing. I estimate the excursion at 5 points. Cairo is worth visiting more than once ...

The service was amazing! I booked through TripAdvisor as a last minute booking, they picked us up from the hotel and drove us back when we finished the tour. The staff was very friendly and engaging, they explained about various areas viewed from the boat as the boat was leaving the marina. They served drinks and played music the entire duration of the trip, they even let the kids drive the boat. We saw various types of fish and corals, they showed us a pilot project sponsored by the Jordanian government to help preserve and rehabilitate the marine ecosystem in the area, they even showed us an underwater airplane that is now part of the ecosystem. They allowed us to go snorkelling as well which was a great bonus and a wonderful experience. We also managed to book scuba diving for the following day. On my next trip to Aqaba I will definitely hit them up again.
    100% recommended!

This was amazing. Our girls are 13 and 16. It was a great taste of diving. We were underwater for about 30 minutes. It was amazing. We paid a bit extra (200 shekels) for Go Pro photos of the family which one of the dive masters took. Each person in your party has a personal dive master that stays very close to you - so it is VERY SAFE. In fact, I can think of a safer way to get a taste of diving. The reef we visited was incredible. Wonderful coral, fish and color. Probably 60-90 foot visibility on the day we went. For the incredible attention to detail, this was a great value as well.

While it was a fun experience, we were disappointed to only have 1/2 an hour camel ride instead of a full hour as advertised. Also, one of the camels in our group got angry for some reason and tried to buck its rider off. We were glad we didn't get that one!

    1. My daughter had not so a good previous experience doing "Introduction Scuba Diving" in a different place. It took me a while to convince her to try it again and do the "Scuba Diver Course".
I have no words to express how happy I am today after she did it in AHLA.
The instructor Kostya was a perfect match for her. He is relaxed, patient, and very friendly. He made my daughter enjoy scuba diving and want to go scuba again.

After the course, we did with Kostya a private dive with photo and video recording. The photos are worth every penny. It was a great experience.

    2. In general, I was diving with different diving centers in Eilat....
The equipment the AHLA has is one of the best around.
Convenient shower, coffee corner and etc...

    3. All personnel is very friendly, happy to help you with every question.
One of the guy, Evgeny, who works there even offered me a ride
when I asked how to get to some other place in Eilat.

    4. Their location is perfect. "The Underwater Restaurant" is right in front of the diving center. Very interesting place to explore.

Bottom line, I will use this place to continue my daughter's and my extended family's certifications.

I warmly recommend AHLA for anyone who considered doing a diving course or simply scuba introduction or guided dive.

Actually we would give 3 1/2 stars, because we had some problems during our trip. Here is a quick overview (++ great; + okay; - could be improved; -- disappointing):

++ Petra itselfs: we really enjoyed being there and we are very happy decided to book a 2-day-trip, because it is really worth it.

    ++ booking: very easy

++ communication during booking: had some questions before booking & got answers quickly

-- pick-up: we were on time at the meeting point, but nobody was coming. After 30 Min we called the emergency number and then we had to wait another 45 Min until someone picked us up. They just forgot us.

+ transportation: nice, young guide, arrival at petra on time

    + guided tour: okay, informative

    - snack box: just kind of ‘old' fruits & vegetables

-Transport to Eilat: we arrived late at 19:30 pm at the border (itinerary says 18:30)

-- Transportation from Eilat to Tel Aviv: The driver drove insanely. Then we had to stop our ride to Tel Aviv because the bus broke down. We had to wait more than 90 Min for a new bus. Nobody informed us what is going on at no time. In the end, we arrived about 3-4 hours later as it was planned in TV.
We know this could happen, but I wanted to make clear that we were very unhappy with the communication of the staff of Tourist Israel during this trip.
+ compensation: I told this situation to the support and asked for a refund of the transportation. Tourist Israel has responded to my request without aversion and we received the refund quickly.

We were looking for a half day excursion that still allowed for the majority of the day available for the beach. This was PERFECT. The keep picked us up on time, the jeep itself was such a fun way to get there (we also had a bit that was “off road” which was a blast) the hike was beautiful, a little steep in places and prob not for very old people or small kiddos. The tour guide was knowledgeable and shared information about the topography and plant life that made the hike more special and interesting. I would definitely recommend it.
