I visited Ala-Too Square on my recent trip of Kyrgyzstan. It is a famous square in the heart of Bishkek. It includes the statue of Manas, the large national flag, the History Museum, and a very nice fountain area. This is definitely an area one should visit if visiting Bishkek.

I like the idea of the park that it's free entry and you can just walk enjoying the delightful and happy atmosphere and get anything from cafes or shops while walking.
We tried one ride was nice but so short time.

One of the best winter trips I have ever taken. As a single female traveler always traveling solo, I was apprehensive about a snowy winter hike up a canyon. My tour guide was simply amazing. Mars was everything I could have asked for to feel secure & adventurous. First though, I have to say, my flight to Bishkek was diverted to Almaty due to snow & ice weather so I thought I would forfeit my tour. After speaking with Mars, he assured me that as I was the only participant for the day, he would await my flight. I arrived in Bishkek, 3 hours later and he was waiting.
It was an exciting drive in the snow to the Canyon and a great hike up & back. He had a surprise tea on the peak overlooking the canyon, as well as brief stops at an excellent local eatery where I sampled delicious local meal & tea.
I would highly recommend this tour with him.

The moderate walk to a waterfall is about 5km return through some stunning scenery. Snow capped mountains and crisp fresh air made the day very enjoyable.

We were curious to see what it's all about, so we took a yandex there (quite a bit away from city center). We needed some comfy pairs of shorts and found them. Prices were very affordable, staff eager to sell but not overbearing.
You just need to pay attention to your wallet, as everywhere, and also get out of the way as there are people with carts all over the place. It is a bit chaotic, but if you need something, you will probably find it there.

The infrastructure is not very new, but the nature of the resort takes your breath away. It's very beautiful, especially in winter. It's not just snow, but actual forest. Some tracks though can be dangerous because of the vegetation so keep that in mind. Resort itself is very cheap.

Very good place to learn to ski/board. There are couple cables for each level. Although on some days they open only some of them - so it is better to call in advance.
Also, if you have no-skiers there is a nice small cafeteria for them to relax
On weekends there are a lot of people there, so you will spend a lot of time in waiting line. Just be prepared for that because it is a problem with every ski complex in Kyrgyzstan

Large flag right in front of the history museum. we went around afternoon and got to see the change of guard, which is quite memorable. Other than that, good opportunity for photos.

What an amazing trip with tour guide-Bek and driver-Rayum. Me and my daughter had a great and unforgettable experience around the Issyk-Kul on the first day of 2024. We also be the 1st group crimbed up the Burana Tower. Thank you for the incredible arrangement of the tour.

Wow! Amazing. We were privileged to be able to hire a vehicle through Travel Land Kyrgyzstan and we are VERY HAPPY to recommend them, and we would definitely use them again if we get a chance to return to Kyrgyzstan.

This company's unique and flexible approach, plain English contracts and genuine interest in supporting their customers enabled us to take an absolutely amazing road trip through Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, travelling from late August through to early November.
Their range of vehicles means they can offer you something that will suit the terrain and logistics required for your itinerary.
Their starting prices are affordable and good value, and they apply a discount for longer hires.
They offer cars with registration and insurance suitable to drive in multiple countires in the region, so we crossed land borders multiple times between these three countries and there were no problems with the vehicles at any point.

We had a 2006 (and replacement 2007) Toyota Fortuner for the duration of the hire period - this is a solid, capable car and a great size for our long road trip with 2-4 people at different stages.
Our first car did develop a fault as we approached ~4,000+ km and were returning it for a service. The team was available to walk us through minor fixes, then ultimately swapped out the vehicle - it was handled efficiently and with good communications in English for our benefit - and we were able to continue our journey with only a minor glitch.
The team also helped us navigate some language barriers with calm grace and confidence, and it helped us avoid some real troubles - special thanks to Artem.
We loved every moment of our adventure and Travel Land Kyrgyzstan were the only company who could make it happen.
If, like us, you prefer to make your own way and set your own pace, you have the chance through Travel Land Kyrgyzstan to immerse and experience the outstanding beauty of these countries and meet the many remarkable people who live there.
    Don't hesitate!!
