Visited on a drizzly weekend, so the mountains were slightly obscured by clouds

For the casual visitor, half day is sufficient. This is what I did or about 2-3 hours before heading over to Chunkurchak Valley

Vantage point Ala Archa Valley 42.556049, 74.492556
    - Steep hike on dirt path to a viewpoint overlooking the valley, 15-20 min each way, better with trekking poles, a must with good shoes

    Ala Archa River Valley Bed
    42.549980, 74.487190
    - Flat and sometimes undulating walk on paved path, along a raging river, most common trail for park visitors

There are more places to visit, but they require longer hike or overnight stay

Entrance fee for car is 700 kgs. Must bring exact cash or worse case, the park officer will pull out a card machine (very reluctantly)

An hour drive from Bishkek, it’s a beautiful place to hike a bit and soak into the beautiful views of Kyrgystan landscape. Lovely spot for families or friends to gather and do bbq with the beautiful mountains and river in the background

Lovely leafy Park in the centre of Bidhkek near to the Parliament building. It had a nice little fairground in the centre with a big red ferris wheel in the centre.
Sone lovely statuary and plentybof benches to sit in and escape the summer heat.
Very nice place, I stopped by here on both my days in Bishkek to relax. The ferris wheel offers great views of the city by the way.

Chunkuchak valley is around 45-60 minutes from Bishkek. The place is amazing and you can relax here for easily 4-5 hours. You either bring your own chairs/mat or rent from the many locals who offer areas to sit and chill. We rented the place for 4 hours and it was infront of the river. You can see the horses all around, eating grass, crossing the river and so on. Beautiful place to relax.

Oak Park was one of the nicest places in Central Bishkek in my opinion. Its luke an open air museum really with statuary and artworks dotted around as you wander. The stately trees offer merciful shade on a hot day and the Park has lots of benches for you to sit on and relax
I loved the statues, and I dare say there'll be something for everyone snongst them.
A short walk from the Parliament, Ala-Too Square and Panfilov Park.

I wish to share the amazing experience in the tour I had with Faruk to Konorchek Canyon and horseback riding at Chon Kemin!
On the day of the tour, our guide Faruk met us promptly at our hotel and I wish to commend his really excellent service from start to end. He shared with us information about life in Kyrgyzstan from a citizen's perspective, and we learnt so much about the local living! However, that was nothing compared to the support he rendered to us during our hike to Konorchek Canyons. It was an hour hike (one-way) and the hike involved challenging obstacles enroute, which Faruk was able to guide us expertly on how to pass through. I thought his instructions were very clear and helpful for us beginners who never hiked before. Faruk even physically pulled us up at some points. Very grateful to him for taking care of us so well.
On our horse-riding, he gave us good tips and also kindly helped us to take photos while we were enjoying the horseriding experience.

Excellent guide that accomplished more than we could have hoped for.

We saw so many sights we had to modify or plans the next day avoid overlap.

Lots of walking but it was indeed worthwhile.

Datka Travel had played a pivotal role in my recent magical trip to Kyrgyzstan. First and for most I liked the fact that "Talgat" who is the owner was friendly open person all reach out to him. He prepared an itinerary very meticulously according to all my demands and even after comparing with some other agents in different parts of the country, he was trying his best to give me a fair deal.

In term of destinations, well Kyrgyzstan itself is a heaven on earth which should be in everyone's bucket list. Its landscapes are breathtakingly beautiful, and the local culture is incredibly rich.

Datka Travel made sure that it was an easy and an enjoyable experience for us!
We had three wonderful guides traveled alongside us through the tour.

Our city tour guide "Farouk"was dynamic and knowledgeable, making learning about Bishkek a fun experience.

"Azamat" is one of the best guides we’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with and he was with us for most of our itinerary. While traveling with him we could feel that he was a good friend but at the same time he was very professional and careful.

Another guide we met on our way was "Chyngyz", helpful and warm-hearted man, that made our travel to this rather isolated and beautiful place, Son Kul Lake even more interesting.

The whole team at Datka Travel was professionally attentive and warm as if we have been knowing each other for years. Their professionalism in making sure everything was perfect during the trip was apparent in the way they managed to handle us.

All in all, Datka Travel, led by Talgat, provides an outstanding journey and added care to the clients. These are some of the best tour operators you should hire if you are willing to tour Kyrgyzstan; they will offer you reasonable prices alongside friendly and courteous service delivery. Indeed, Kyrgyzstan is enchanting, and Datka Travel is the most suitable means to explore it.

So grateful I came across Kalpak! I worked with Luca to plan my honeymoon traveling through Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan and it exceeded all expectations, truly the best trip I've ever taken!! It was meticulously planned by Luca and after all the stress from my wedding it felt so good to sit back and go with the flow.

Each country is filled with such rich history and culture, the food is delicious, and the nature unbelievable. I was shocked the sites aren't mobbed by tourists.

We learned so much about the Soviet Union, Islam, and various empires. We went to luxurious spas, held a literal eagle, watched THE horse games, drove through the mountains, swam in alpine lakes, went horseback riding in the gorges, hiked to waterfalls, drove out in the desert, took traditional Uzbek wedding photos, roasted marshmallows over bonfires, white water rafted, discovered which restauraunt really serves the best plov, played football at sunset with people from all over the world, rode a Soviet train, stayed overnight at yurt camps, met skilled rug making babushkas, befriended every dog in site, and ate the most incredible food.

Kalpak plans their trips with the best accommodations, drivers, and most importantly the guides. Bekhruz and Nazima were incredible, by the end of the trip they weren't our guides, they are now life long friends.

Kalpak doesn't plan tourist trap trips, they truly immerse you in the culture teaching you everything about the country and their people.

I also have to highlight how safe we felt the entire trip! Alot of family and friends who didn't know much about Central Asia raised some concerns, but honestly I felt more safe and secure throughout both countries than I do at home in Long Island City!

The only way I can describe this trip is magical. I can't thank Luca and Kalpak enough for helping my husband and I create so many beautiful memories. We cannot wait to get started on planning our next trip with them.

We had an excellent experience of city touring today with colleagues aka friends and Gulkair was an excellent guide who showed us beautiful places in Bishkek. Despite the weather (it was quite windy and rainy), I enjoyed the walking and getting knowledge about historical places and events so I highly recommend Show me Bishkek as you guide to discover kyrgyz culture! Thank you guys again

I organised a tailor made trip from the UK to see some of the highlights of northern Kyrgyzstan. We wanted a good guide and driver, nice accommodation, vegetarian/vegan food and to see some amazing sites. Max was very responsive to my requests and arranged airport pick up and drop off as well. We were delayed flying in and Max was able to flex things for us so we could get some sleep on arrival. Everything worked out so well - the sights were fantastic and the expereiences memorable, all accompnaied by our helpful guide, Nazgulya. The yurt stays were a highlight. Excellent all round.

We highly recommend it to everyone who wants to see the beauty of Kyrgyzstan.
