I visited Osh Bazaar on my visit to Bishkek. It is a very interesting place and has a maze-like character to it. I was told by local friends to be on my guard because there is some theft that goes on in the Bazaar. I found the merchants to be pleasant and polite and I was able to buy a few items for good prices. If you are looking for some of the wonderful local honey or bread or other local items, they can be found here.

As a note, not all of the merchants spoke English. Of course I would not expect them to, but if you are traveling from the West and don't speak Kyrgyz or Russian do not expect everyone to speak English or other Western European languages.

I visited Ala-Too Square on my recent trip of Kyrgyzstan. It is a famous square in the heart of Bishkek. It includes the statue of Manas, the large national flag, the History Museum, and a very nice fountain area. This is definitely an area one should visit if visiting Bishkek.

I like the idea of the park that it's free entry and you can just walk enjoying the delightful and happy atmosphere and get anything from cafes or shops while walking.
We tried one ride was nice but so short time.

One of the best winter trips I have ever taken. As a single female traveler always traveling solo, I was apprehensive about a snowy winter hike up a canyon. My tour guide was simply amazing. Mars was everything I could have asked for to feel secure & adventurous. First though, I have to say, my flight to Bishkek was diverted to Almaty due to snow & ice weather so I thought I would forfeit my tour. After speaking with Mars, he assured me that as I was the only participant for the day, he would await my flight. I arrived in Bishkek, 3 hours later and he was waiting.
It was an exciting drive in the snow to the Canyon and a great hike up & back. He had a surprise tea on the peak overlooking the canyon, as well as brief stops at an excellent local eatery where I sampled delicious local meal & tea.
I would highly recommend this tour with him.

The moderate walk to a waterfall is about 5km return through some stunning scenery. Snow capped mountains and crisp fresh air made the day very enjoyable.

Visited the Central Mosque. It was very beautiful. It has an immense scale that makes one feel the grandeur of the building. The color and symmetry are amazing.
I am not Muslim so I cannot comment on the religious feelings many get when worshipping here, but it is certainly beautiful.

Chunkuchak valley is around 45-60 minutes from Bishkek. The place is amazing and you can relax here for easily 4-5 hours. You either bring your own chairs/mat or rent from the many locals who offer areas to sit and chill. We rented the place for 4 hours and it was infront of the river. You can see the horses all around, eating grass, crossing the river and so on. Beautiful place to relax.

We were curious to see what it's all about, so we took a yandex there (quite a bit away from city center). We needed some comfy pairs of shorts and found them. Prices were very affordable, staff eager to sell but not overbearing.
You just need to pay attention to your wallet, as everywhere, and also get out of the way as there are people with carts all over the place. It is a bit chaotic, but if you need something, you will probably find it there.

Whether your shopping for designer clothes, little trinkets, coffee, food or even bowling there is alot of offer at this mall
Cinema, restaurant, fast food and even a super market as well as your standard phone shops
A few 'side/table' shops where you can get more tourist items!
Would recommend to come, and could easily spend a day here

I visited the Victory memorial in Bishkek on my recent visit. Victory Square and the monument celebrate the victory of the Soviet Army in WWII. The monument has an eternal flame and has mid-century Soviet design. It is an interesting place.

I visited the monument to Chingiz Aitamov when I was recently in Bishkek. The monument stands at the other side of Ala-Too Square from the statue of Manas the Great.
The monument has a nice statue of Aitamov who is a famous Kyrgyz author who wrote the novel, Jamila. Jamila is set in the Soviet era and is one of the most famous novels from that time. Aitamov also served as a judge for some of the famous Moscow International Film Festivals. He is one of the internationally known authors from Kyrgyzstan and as such is a national icon for the Kyrgyz people.

This park is very close to Ala-Too square.
It is full of beautiful mature trees.
There are also a number of seating areas that you can sit and enjoy the views.
