- Bing NSingapore1 contributionI was very satisfied with the tour led by Mr. Ulan. I had seen what I wanted to see and took many photos. There were another 2 passengers in this tour. One lady from Dubai and a gentleman from Seoul. Mr. Ulan conducted himself very well and made us feel at ease and we mixed around well and shared our other travel adventures. Mr. Ulan knows his job well and I had a wonderful time. I am very sure the other two participants would also shared my experience. - Julian V4 contributionsGreat Experience! Andrey, our driver & guide, was friendly & polite. With our permission he took us to an additional touristy location called Supara which was interesting (not to be confused with Supara Chunkurchak, which we went to later). It has architecture & design with an eye towards old fashioned Kyrgis traditions. Then we drove to Chunkurchak Gorge to see a modest waterfall, but with a spectacular view from the suspension bridge... quite an experience... also had the options to be filmed by a drone when walking on the bridge, as well as to climb down into the gorge! From there we were taken to Supara Chunkurchak for horseback riding, dinner, archery & even an optional zipline that was not previously advertised! - Vivian YuNew York City, NY134 contributionsOnly had 24 hours in Bishkek and wanted to see as much of majestic Kyrgyzstan as I could! I had a fantastic day with Baiel exploring the countryside and major sites in Bishkek city. What made this tour special was that it felt as if I was on a roadtrip with a long-lost cousin - Baiel and I talked a lot about his life in Kyrgyzstan and his hopeful plans for the future, his own experiences abroad, and the history and background of the sites we visited. Such a cool, personal, and authentic experience - thanks Baiel for a great day together!
Couple of other notes/recommendations:
- Bring a hat and sunscreen in the warmer seasons! There is a good amount of outside time on this tour and it can get toasty.
- Have some cash on hand for incidentals like souvenirs. We attempted to buy some strawberries from a roadside vendor and I didn't have any local currency.
- I was able to customize my tour start time as I landed in Bishkek early that morning and needed time to check in to my hotel and get settled. I liaised very easily with Talgat from Datka Travel via WhatsApp, and he customised this tour to include Konorchek Canyons as we wanted to see more nature in the tour. We greatly appreciate!
On the day of the tour, our guide Faruk met us promptly at our hotel and I wish to commend his really excellent service from start to end. He shared with us rich information about life in Kyrgyzstan and we learnt so much! That was nothing compared to the support he rendered to us during our hike to Konorchek Canyons. It was an hour hike (one-way) and the hike involved challenging obstacles enroute, which Faruk was able to guide us expertly on how to pass through. He even physically pulled us up at some points. Very grateful for taking care of us so well.
The tour itself is beautiful and well-organised, and the sights that we saw at Konorchek Canyon and horseriding at Chon Kemin really showed us the natural beauty of Kyrgyzstan, which we wanted to see. Lunch at a traditional Kyrgzs guesthouse with very hospitable hosts really added a local touch to the whole experience.

I had a 2 night layover in Bishkek and chose to go on this tour for the one full day I had. I'm so glad I did because it was the highlight of my time here. We started off the day visiting Burana tower where my guide, Boca, walked me through the history and significance of the landmark. Afterwards, we drove into the mountains for lunch and the horseback ride.
Lunch was at a local guesthouse in the valley and the food was so delicious. They had an assortment of bread, handmade strawberry jam, and a medley of vegetables to start. I was actually quite surprised at how fresh everything tasted as I went during winter. The rest of the meal was equally as enjoyable featuring homemade soup and a chicken and mashed potato dish.
Horseback riding was of course the star of the tour and we rode into the mountains. Since it had been snowing earlier the trek up the mountain was stunning. Undisturbed snow flanked by the most amazing view of the mountain valley made the whole scene look like it was out of a movie. Words can't really do it justice but trust me it was beautiful.
Aside from the attractions itself my tour guide, Boca, was wonderful. He is fluent in English and so friendly. The journey to the valley where we rode the horses was about 2 hours by car but chatting with him made the time fly by. In addition he was so attentive and always checking in on me to see if there was anything I needed.
Overall this tour is absolutely the best and I would highly recommend it for anyone travelling to Bishkek. A quick note is that since I went in the winter, the valley won't look quite like some of the photos on their website but I think it is equally as gorgeous and there's a lot fewer people as well.Written 14 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The company was fantastic, and the entire day was well-organized and enjoyable. The natural beauty of Ala-Archa was breathtaking, the visit to Kashka-Suu was fascinating, and relaxing in the hot springs was the perfect way to end the day. He is a great guy, friendly, knowledgeable and very funny, we had a great day exploring the canyon which was so beautoful.
