A perfect host with great English, insightful knowledge of Kyrgyzstan, it’s people and culture, was a great compliment to the sights of the journey encircling the lake. We had a visit to konorchek canyon although I could not finish to the end due to high-level of trekking level. On the next day we made a trip to Ala Archa national park but it was raining so badly. He is a great guy, friendly, knowledgeable and very funny, we had a great day exploring the canyon which was so beautoful.
I was a solo traveller and felt safe and comfortable all the time. Maksat has so many knowledge on his country and the nature around us and he is very kind and helpful.

I found our tour guides very professional (and both spoke very very good French !) and the driver was a good guy too. I especially liked the hotel in Chopton Ata, the valley Grigorieskoe was a good surprise. The Karakol ski resort was good too as well as Jeti Oguz. the Skazka canyon was GREAT. I LOVED Tash Rabat. Song Kul is nice (especially the horse riding) but I preferred the way down to Bishkek with great landscapes. Food is EXCELLENT with a mix of restaurants, yurts, guesthouses. I do not eat much meat so LOVED their soup (chorpo) and fish. - Sara1 contributionThis was a fabulous tour and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. It was recommended to me by a friend because I never take tours as I am more of an independent kind of traveller but she said that the countryside of Kyrgystan can be difficult so my friend and I decided to take her up on her recommendation. Our guide Ash and our driver Alex picked us up in Bishkek from our hotel and were with us throughout our trip. We were astonished by the beauty and diversity of the nature in Kyrgystan and loved that they always took us to quiet and nice places! You definitely do not have to worry about seeing other tourists. They also knew how to balance being social with us but also giving us personal space which was much appreciated. My personal highlight was the horsebackriding as it has been years since my last time and seeing nature while horsebackriding is just another level of experience. The accomodations were very good as well. Ash speaks perfect English and gave lots of insights and was always ready to respond to my cultural questions. Alex was patiently trying to understand my basic Russian, which gave us laughter. Unfortunately, I got sick with the flu, but even that was handled great. Ash even got me medication and they adjusted the tour so I could manage. This is the bonus when you book a tour where things can be tailormade. We absolutely loved Kyrgystan, a hidden gem in Central Asia! No better way to explore than with Ash and Alex. Both times the trips were well planned, and the guides were very attentive, fun, helpful, and knowledgeable about everything we saw.
