- ruthlmKirkcaldy, UK77 contributionsAn absolutely wonderful experience, with lots of extras we didn't expect, the people that deal with the elephants are extremely caring towards them, very friendly and helpful during the visit. There are a team of photographers taking lots of photos although you can take photos as you wish on youre own devices as you want as well, these photos are then provided at no extra cost, there was also a lovely buffet to enjoy after showering, this was something on my bucket list and I'm so glad I chose this sanctuary, thankyou to everyone there that made it so enjoyable!Written 6 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Daniel ABeijing, China37,418 contributionsEven though we had two wonderful weeks in Phuket and Krabi, my wife was very eager to visit Central. She had her eye on a purse from the LV store for a while and the prices were cheaper in Thailand than in China. Despite the waits to get into the store, and then in two separate lines for the cash, tax refund, at the airport, since Central is a duty-free store, my wife was very content. I enjoyed the cleanliness and air conditioning after a very warm day in Phuket. My kids enjoyed running around in the spacious mall, purchasing food from the “floating markets” and we all enjoyed the snacks, iced tea, KFC and especially the Dairy Queen lol!Written 3 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Go its a fun nightWritten 25 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Theres something for everyone.
Its convenient location adds to the appeal, as it’s close to everything. For example, it’s only about a 12-minute walk to Jungceylon, making it easy to combine a visit to the market with other activities.Written 29 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was noisy, crowded (if you stop, it can cause traffic jam crowded). Lots of vendors and food to try. Could only walk about half and getting some food before calling it quits due to the crowd. Good to see and experience once, but there are other night markets which are less crazy.Written 2 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MumMelbourne, Australia49 contributionsGreat range, great food and great atmosphere. Be warned the heat in the shopping area. Our 11 year old fainted (this has NEVER happened before despite multiple holidays to south east asia). The market is a great set up and the orange uniform makes it easy to feel relaxed and trust the hygiene and quality of the foods as it feels well organised and hygiene is enforced.Written 19 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MrMrsHappyRLiverpool, UK1,497 contributionsAlthough this is classed as a night market, we came here during the day as we were on a cruise and lots of shops were open during the day. Lots of souvenirs and scarfs and bagsWritten 29 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tina JKenilworth, UK14 contributionsLoved this place. There are so many elephant sanctuaries that claim to be ethical but this place was wonderful. The guides and mahouts were passionate about caring for these elephants.
It was great to see the elephants, that had had such an awful life, just doing what they wanted and enjoying life.
A fab morning. Learnt lots too. And a great lunch.
If you get the chance you should definitely visit.Written 24 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 2202portishead213 contributionsThis is a great little aquarium with interesting exhibits big and small, really informative boards by the tanks explaining all about them, the highlight was the feeding time when a diver with a bucket of fish appeared and fed the sting ray, shark and assorted relations to each other. The groupers were enormous too! I wouldn't necessarily recommend driving across the island to visit here, but if you are local and it's a bit overcast then well worth a visit. You can also walk outside to see the turtle tanks.
They highlighted the environmental concerns of plastics but then had plastic stirrers and plastic water bottles in the shop!Written 11 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
