- gary f1 contributionI was really expecting too much but I was extremely happy with the trip. We started off trolling for a few hours and were lucky enough to get 1 mahi mahi, 1 king mackerel, 1 queen fish and 3 other fish in the tuna family. Once we made the island stop we were able to take a swim in very water while the crew made us lunch. Wasn't expecting much but I was wrong again. Fish soup, rice, fried tuna, sashimi and a nice selection of cut watermelon and pineapple. Lunch was delicious. After an hour stop there we trolled to the bottom fishing area. Booked a boat for 9-5pm and trolling the whole day to racha noi in December 2024 with only 1 bite and 1 catch. In between caught lots of plastics. Crew tried hard but if there is no fishes, not much they can do. My teenage kids spent more time sleeping on the boat than on land.
On return saw another group that did bottom fishing, the size is really tiny :( even for an Asian. This is a true test that there is nothing left in the water.
Think what the crew hope now is migratory fishes that customer could catch, as no more “local” fishes left.

Get picked up from hotel and everything is taken care of, food, drink and helpful fishing advice.
Beautiful setting with lots of wildlife.
The fishing was awesome and the fish are in great condition and well looked after when caught.
