2 weeks ago, we took two excursions: the James Bond Island journey and then 2 days later another journey to the Phi Phi Islands. If you only have time for one of the two, I recommend the later. In September it's more rainy, but we were lucky that day that was mostly sunny and therefore for most of the time the water was as beautifully turquoise like you can see on many pictures of the area.
We really enjoyed the journey to the various islands this day included. First, we had the opportunity to explore the beautiful area of Phanak Island by canoe. Afterwards we stopped by at the Hong Island, where we first walked for about 200 meters through a cave (the water was about knee to hip deep) to then arrived at the most stunning location of that day: a truly gorgeous and scenic lagoon that is completely surrounded by steer and towering limestone cliffs.
Next we stopped by at the James Bond island which I always wanted to visit since I saw the movie in my early childhood. Afterwards, lunch was provided at Koh Phani that is also referred to as the Muslim floating village. Up until there, the trip was really enjoyable. However, in the afternoon on the way back, our last stop at Naka Island (there are some activities like Jet Skiing offered there) was not really enjoyable because it was really crowded and the water was dirty and we didn't feel like swimming there.
Compared with our second journey to Phi Phi (for which you can read my other review), we felt it was too crowded on the speed boat we were on and there were not a lot of safety instructions given by the crew on that day. Overall, I still recommend going with this company because of the mostly scenic stops along the way, the good price-offer value that is provided and our guide (unfortunately I can't remember her name) was funny and witty.
