I had my cart for 8 days and never had a bit of trouble with my little green golf cart! I started out with half a tank of gas, I filled it up within the first couple days (which cost about $40usd) and then ran around the island the rest of my time, including a jaunt out to Secret Beach!
The day of my return I just dropped it off at the airport, shot Ali a picture of where I parked and boarded my plane. This was our first trip to Belize and One Love made sure we were taken care of with our golf cart from the moment we arrived. They delivered and picked up from our hotel and the process was so simple and easy. - MMG1Chicago, IL126 contributionsSamuel was on time and transferred us (even with flight delays) from Belize Intl to a marina and then to a small boat with bimini to our villa on Ambergris Caye. Definitely felt the service outweighed the cost which was equivalent to the flight transfer on Maya or Tropic Air. Our villa had its own dock and was 5 miles north of San Pedro near the Matachica resort. It was a lot better than managing luggage and golf carts across town from the Ambergris Caye airport. Also a beautiful way to travel. We had high winds so it was a bit on the bumpy side for part of the trip both ways. It was an hour and half boat ride to our location north of San Pedro - made even better with rum punch, beers and bottled water. Trip was fine for my 80 plus year old parents as well. They reached out before our trip to coordinate a drop off and worked with the resort to get our carts where we needed then. When we ran into an issue without our return the owner went out of his way to help us. - Passenger81650110 contributionsAfter Tropical Storm Sara derailed our original plans, Erolyn and Jason made it their mission to salvage what we could and treat us to true Belizean hospitality! We were served delicious croissants for breakfast as we set out in their comfy limo, and enjoyed stimulating conversation about Belizean life while we traveled to the Mayan ruins. At Altun Ha, Erolyn went above and beyond to introduce us to Mayan culture and the circumstances that lead to the discovery of the site, but she also identified the uses of indigenous plants effective in treating various ailments, most notably the Polly Redheaded plant. Since cave tubing was out of the question due to rising water levels, Jason drove us to the Belize Zoo, after stopping for a tasty lunch of local cuisine. At the zoo, Erolyn guided us to each enclosure and provided additional information about the animals we encountered, many of which were rescued/rehabilitated. The limo's well-stocked bar was much appreciated after a day spent in the heat and humidity. - Ken TIndianapolis, IN19 contributionsI recently stayed at the Mahogany Bay Resort. A You Tuber that goes by Chews to Explore recommend Avis. So I messaged them from my room. They brought my cart to the resort at 10:00 A.M and didn't charge a fee. I had the cart for 5 days and it was only $200. So it was $40 a day. Very reasonable considering the other rental places were a lot more. All they ask is for you to lock it up every time you stop and bring it back with a full tank of gas. They provide you with a lock and explain everything. It was very convenient for me because I returned it in person. I was flying out of Tropic Air and their office is directly across the street. I passed a gas station on the way also. It cost $ 32 in Belizean dollars $ 16 in American dollars to fill it up. Very reasonable transportation considering I went to Secret Beach which is about 40 minutes from the resort I was staying at. I will definitely be renting from them again next time I go to San Pedro. A day later he reached out and said he could swap out a newer one for us - I thought that was very kind since he didn't have to offer.
