A beautiful building where you can taste the waters both hot and cold and get few souvenirs. A superb ice cream parlour as well as patisserie, serving stunning cakes and delicious coffee.

Beautiful fountain and flowers, possibility to play chess with size of about 1 meter. The chess were there and we could play them for free. Nice place for a walk.

Sculpture of a Polar Bear is a must-see in Polanica. It was made in 1910 and it represents a boundary of ice sheet during a glacial period.

Having spent a day in this lovely town, we were continously reminded there is a church in town by a bizzare electronic music playing at different times. Not fun and quite annoying...

Grounds: Not too big but beautifully designed with a nice swimming pool with different types of massage jets, jacuzzi, three types of saunas: dry, steam and ice. It all looks pretty new and looked after. Cleaning lady seems to be out and about at all times to keep it all clean and tidy.
Water temperature in the swimming pool is just fine. There are no lanes so if you want to swim so there's no order, everyone seems to be swimming in different direction and bump into each other.

Staff: All seemed pretty friendly but this one LIFE GUARD who totally ruined our stay. I still cannot believe we even found ourselves in that situation but it turns out that one cocky and extremely rude life guard (sadly don't know his name, once you see him you'll know: short, darkish shortish hair, cocky grim on his face) seems to be thinking that he can SELECTIVELY tell customers to undress when using saunas calling upon terms and conditions, quote: 'if you want to use saunas you must take your swimming wear off now!' How humiliating! Just to be clear, there's no word in t&c's about not being allowed to wear a swimming suit/ trunks when using saunas, you must have a towel, not wear jewellery etc. There is a REQUEST on the wall not to wear a swimwear but it's not a part of t&c's. Also 90% of guests DO wear swimwear inc children running about. When challenged about the consistency of his order and pointed that the rest of guest are wearing swimwear he became intimidating and extremely rude.
BE AWARE of him and remember you have a right to say 'NO'.

    Sort it out Wielka Pieniawa!

Municipal Tourist Route in Polanica was mapped in June 2006. It is surrounding the city and is marked with a red heart symbol. One can walk through the whole route at one time or separately explore the south and north of its passage, which is recommended for people without walking experience - the total length of the route is about 26 km.
We explored only parts of this great route and we were very pleased. We are not hikers but wanted to have not very demanding walk in the woods, and this road, at least some parts of it are ideal. The road is excellently marked and you cannot get lost there. Recommended for a gentle hiking.
