Beautiful park you walk around which we did each morning we stayed in Queenstown. Beautifully kept, some nice sculptures doted around.

I had a great time at the Kiwi Park! I spent three hours there and attended the Kiwi encounter and conservation show, which were both very engaging and educational. The staff were so kind and welcoming, they were all willing to chat and offer more information. I also learned a lot that I didn’t already know about bees and New Zealand honey which was an added positive. The only downside (which isn’t the fault of the staff or park) is that several other visitors ignored the rules and took flash photography of the Kiwis which was really disappointing - please don’t do that if you visit! I’d gladly come back and bring more people with me, a highlight of my trip to Queenstown for sure.

A beautiful lake. Surrounded by hotels, motels & restaurants. Boat rides, Speed boat rides & of course for swimming if the water is not so cold

The walk isn’t far from the town. We were lucky to get parked right at the bottom of the footpath. It took us around 1.5 hours to walk up to the top. Once we’d walked through the trees the views were brilliant. When you reach the top you can see right over the lake and down to the airport. Watching the planes taking off was very neat, you can see down to the runway and follow them climbing up and over the lake.

A lot better venue and a shorter bus trip for those who are new to the skiing world. The beginners area looked a lot more inviting but i spend the morning chatting going up to the look out in the viewing platform from the gondola while my partner went off for a snowboard

We did this walk in early spring and there was no issue with snow apart from a little at the top. The walk took us 7.5 hours all in (including the tiki trail 1 hour each way). We both had backpacks with food and water, as the walk was very difficult. The view at the top was stunning and not many others did it, we saw maybe 15 others in total doing the peak. There are also various different options to turn around before the summit with lookouts. There is a toilet before the summit at the saddle lookout 2 hours from the gondola.

Absolutely amazing experience and very informative. Learnt so much about Queenstown and it’s amazing natural history. Watching the fish in the lake from under the water was a highlight

I was blessed with great weather & little to no wind & the reflections on the lake were beautiful. It’s just a short drive from Queenstown & honestly early is best. It’s a nice drive up but the last km or so is unsealed but no issue for any car. There’s a walking track around the whole lake that they say takes about 2.5 hrs but I didn’t bother as the sun was behind me for morning photos which is exactly what I wanted. There was also a trip from town that allowed you to go canoeing or another one does fishing which looked good. All in all it’s a must see.

Nice to have a pedestrian oriented walk space in the middle of town. Good selection of shops. I managed to pick up some cheap touristy T-Shirts which was nice as Queenstown does have the reputation of being over priced.

The Remarkable’s was absolutely amazing! Kids first time at the snow and they are hooked. Fairly busy (it was school holidays) I do recommend booking in advance etc.

Went to do the crafting activity here, was a lot of fun and would recommend for adults and families. We made soaps, beeswax wraps, lip balms and candles, a fun range of products which we have actually used since our trip. Our guide Resham was so knowledgeable and made the experience at Buzzstop as good as it was. He spent time with us after we'd made out products explaining to us so much about the bees and the hives, was so interesting and nice to see how genuinely passionate he was about it.

Beautiful to a walk along - either for a brief wander or a much longer hike. Surprise views around many river bends.
