There are many Attractions, Wineries, Breweries, Caves, Forest drives and stunningly beautiful beaches in the region and I will guide you to places that suit your taste. Margaret Rivers wineries are internationally celebrated and it is one of the most environmentally diverse regions in the world. Choosing the day tour bus was the best decision ever. I have 2 kids (3 and 5 years old) and an elderly with me. The bus was a comfortable way to tour the island as most parts are inaccessible except if you were to cycle. The only thing that wasn't that perfect today was the pickup point for the bus. As this was our first time here in Rottnest, we were unsure on where we should be waiting for the bus. The booking details also did not mention anything about the pickup. It was after several rounds of asking around, did we know that the pickup is round the corner from the Main Bus Stop. I felt this could be done in a better way by being specific on this. First timers like my family, wouldn't have any idea. Aside from this, sceneries were beautiful. It was a relaxing day for us.

Lying down and look up to see the whole sky full of stars. This is after viewing the beautiful sunset in front of the Pinnacle Desert. The tour also provided telescope that we can view Jupiter with 3 of its moons. We had a nice BBQ dinner just before sunset provided as part of the tour.

At the end of the tour, we had a safe ride back to Perth City in the dark by our experience and alert driver, Sam who is also our guide.

Well organised regarding ferry and bike hire. Dome cafe a bonus. Great general store with a surprisingly good selection of wine (and food).
Major deficit is lack of clear direction signage when cycling. Maps were good but no signs on roads to link with these.
Lots of hills if cycling, hard wok for oldies like us.

We booked the ½ day Pinnacles Stargazing Tour with Wildlife Tours Australia (same company as Autopia but price was less- they merged during pandemic). We only wanted the half day tour which left midday, and we stopped along the way in Lancelin (very small town) to the lookout and stretch our legs, Hangover Bay (lovely looking beach) and Nilgen lookout. The bus was full with about 25 people (my husband felt his legs were cramped as he was very tall but I was fine)

We then headed to Nambung National Park to see the Pinnacles. Wow - these limestone structures for as far as the eye can see. Somewhat eerie but beautiful. Our tour was only to walk around - there is a path (there is a car road but we did not drive) so everyone disbursed. It was windy so with sand blowing we tried to focus on having the wind at our backs, then headed to the deck to watch sunset.

Our tour guide Denny was great. Meanwhile he was setting up the picnic dinner for us - very upscale picnic with cheese and crackers, strawberries, then nice salads and meat choices. He had Prosecco and juice (no water, so best to bring your own).

Once it was dark, he gave us a stargazing tour - wow, wow and wow. It was a clear night and there were so many stars. It is pitch black so you could really see the stars. We brought flashlights (although cell phones do have that capability). We saw the Southern Cross, Jupiter, the Milky Way and so many more.

I took Pinnacles all inclusive Rottnest island tour.Ideal when tou have just a day and want to see it all;Besides being senior freindly.
The pick up was spot on.The whole trip was at a leisurely pace and covered by very knowledgeable and guides proud of the history of the place. This gave me a better feel of the place as it was since the WW2 times.
As promised had a good Tete -A-Tete with the Quokkas too.
A sumptuous vegetarian lunch was provided for me-On the whole a great expereince.
    Spots for improvement would be:
Have a signage at the ferry landing itself to direct clients to the train station(There were non english speaking people who struggled and were confused, though the information centre personnel put in all efforts to help them.)
The public address system in the tour bus needs to be more efficient.

2 winery stops were quite pleasant, the chocolate factory and providoor stop was very rushed and only had 20 mins to complete both, as a result did not get to have a look in the chocolate factory. This was dissapointing. The cruise back along the swan river was excellent with nice afternoon tea and great entertainment by the staff.

This was a trip of 6 parts, initially a coach trip (minibus) with a fantastic, funny and knowledgeable driver 5/5.
Part two at the sandlford winery, brilliant wine presented by a brilliant guy, 5/5
Part 3 at the Lancaster winery, rushed through the tastings and the only info presented was, this is ....type of grape. The wine was excellent which helped the score 3/5
Part 4, lunch, excellent service, delicious food and a great accompanied wine, 5/5
Part 5, the Mandoon winery and cheese tasting, again the wine tasting was rushed with very little information and way too many people for the amount of cheese supplied 3/5
Part 6 , trip back on the Swan River, amazing journey, the wine flowed more than the river, ace crew, 5/5

This is a really fun trip to do and it's marginally cheaper than booking the ferry and the bus trip on Rottnest Island separately on their own. Although do note that a) the bus trip doesn't let you off anywhere. If you want that option, get the hop on, hop off bus. On this bus tour though you do get some excellent commentary, and b) once the bus tour is done after about 1 3/4 - 2 hours, you're left to your own devices.

Wonderful tour with small group. Shannon our guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. We visited four outstanding wineries, all had very friendly staff. We would recommend this tour to everyone.

Really great tour - would thoroughly recommend. Tim has chosen 4 very different vineyards so there is a nice variety, and the lunch options were excellent with very generous portion sizes.

My partner and I were amazed with the beauty of Rottnest Island. I want to mention a few things that will better prepare anyone for the visit.
1-Use the Hop on Hop off bus to get around to the beaches and points of interest. Worth the cost of A$38 each.
2-Take sunscreen- the full day is in the sun with little to no shelter.
3-There are no changing rooms along the beaches. If you plan to swim or sunbathe be sure to change prior to getting on the bus.
4-Take food and water if you plan to be out for the day. There is nowhere to buy these once you get in the bus for the beaches.
5-There are bikes to rent, but, unless you’re regularly on a bike, be prepared to have tight squeezes when buses pass. We saw several people have bike accidents. There’s no first aid on the road.
6-Be sure to get off the bus at the scheduled stops. Towards the end of the route right AFTER the lighthouse stop is a point that is FANTASTIC. There is no beach so not many get off the bus to go look. This view is worth the whole trip. The coast at its best.
Rottnest is beautiful but be prepared before you go.

I would recommend this experience, especially if you're staying in Perth and not planning on going further south on your own. Has lots of good stops, the guide was very informative and friendly. Very happy.
