Amazing experience to get in the acmi Museum. We booked the laser feast exhibition: works of nature and the images and little films blew our minds. It was interactive too, started with a meditation on really comfy couches, followed by relaxing walks through images with evolving trees and all kinds of nature. Recommended to book the VR experience too!

During our tours to Australia, we visited the Crown Casino in Melbourne and the Star Casino in Sydney.

In my previous overseas tours, I had visited casinos in Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Auckland, Macao, Genting and on board Star Cruise but have yet to visit the two casinos of my own country which are Marina Bay Sands and the Resorts World Sentosa casinos. I am discouraged by the entry fee of S$100/- to $150/- that was imposed on Singaporeans to deter compulsive gambling.

Crown Casino is the largest casino complex in the southern hemisphere and one of the largest casinos in the world.

The staff at Crown Casino were very courteous, confident and helpful. One staff cordially invited us to their gas brigade firework display at 8 pm from their towers along the Yarra River.

I sought their advice on photo-taking. We are allowed to take photos of the casino as long as we do not take the photos of their staff and patrons.

Star Casino, on the other hand, disallowed any photo-taking of their gaming area. But the harborview outside Star casino was stunning.

The firework display at the towers were computerised and spectacular on a cold night. We felt the instant warmness once it was ignited followed by the strong petrol smell of the dark smoke.

Some of my friends tried their luck on the pokie machines and had some fun. I wandered around to appreciate the enormous size of the Crown Casino and was tired after few rounds of walking.

It was impressive but the casino is not my taste.

The Melbourne Cup, Australia's premier thoroughbred race, is held on the second Tuesday of every November at Flemington Racecourse. The race is run over 2 miles. Horses come from all over the world to compete. In 2023, Without a Fight, with jockey Mark Zahra aboard, won handily. To win, a horse must be bred to stay. The Flemington Racecourse is a true test of stamina.

We all had fun but it all adds up to a pricey activity but the smiles, laughter and fun somehow make it all worthwhile. And the kids definitely like to go back.

From citylink to get there, to $16carparking across the road, tickets (online is $1 cheaper, we brought our own skates but they are $5 to hire/pair,$4 locker hire/3hrs, $4 spectator fee (free cuppa voucher)

Cafe is reasonable. $3toastie, $4cuppa, $5fries. We also brought our own food and drinks, there are lots of seats around the rink.

Annual memberships are on offer to bring down ticketing price (details online).

Parent with <8yo child can have a heavily discounted tickets for them both on weekend mornings with a special fun program to increase confidence on ice.very handy.

Inside the building is COLD. Warm clothing for spectators will make it comfortable for them. Layered clothing for skaters will be handy.

You're allowed to step outside for an hour to have a break, just need your ticket timed and signed.

$15/pair to resharpen blades at the shop. They have discount cards for repeat customers and as I had 3 pairs sharpened that day, they gave me a discount on the spot and I only paid $37. A nice surprise.

Love it, they have great rooms and the team there make it even more enjoyable. We completed 'The Conjuring' and it kept us on our toes with jump scares and it gives an immersive experience.

I went with my friends and family. This place is great for any ages from ages 4 all the way up to 70 it is eco-friendly, and all the kids love this place. It is an awesome place for tourists to visit. I highly recommend this playground to visit. I go here every year it is so good to see all the children laugher and having a great time. Epic place to go with your friends you can have picnics there, sit near the water and it always an ice cream van at the entry it is cheap and delicious. They have a wide variety of different play equipment. Usually playgrounds are just for little kids but this playground is very different. Like i said before I HIGHLY recommend this place as a stay, a day trip but it would take you at least 3 hours to go on everything. Great place this is why I rate it 5 stars I would rate it more if I could because of how safe and great this place is.

This playground was awarded as the Best Australian Playground by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. It's an adventurous sort of playground, located near the new Royal Children's Hospital. It's fun for kids, who have many different activities to pursue.,

    Firstly…. because impressions count!
To Dean. Or super host as you are so affectionately and appropriately called.
You are every single bit a part of this “all senses engaged gaming experience”.
You have a special energy about you, a high vibration, one I felt the minute I shook your hand and asked your name! Such warmth, joy and enthusiasm are rare gifts these days.
What a marvellous job you do as a host, the passion you have for what you do is clear and just a tad infectious! Thank-you for making us feel so welcome and safe!

It is truly hard to review our experience with words…
One, because it’s an experience that needs to be felt. And two, because I would not dare spoil the magic for future players.
    This experience will change you.
It will move you, Inspire you, and the discoveries, questions and lessons you will create together as you uncover the secrets of the Crumbling Prince will stay with you for some time after.
You will be thirsty to learn more and continue this unique story and journey to its completion. That is a promise!

I was privileged to play with my greatest treasures, my husband and children aged 8 and 10. So if you too have keen little gamers, puzzlers, explorers, and curious minded little ones, you will not regret a single second of your time here.
The passion of the creatives behind this masterpiece is evident from the minute your host opens the door of the red building with marks.
The experience is worth every cent and then some.

Personally for me, the thing I loved most was the opportunity to enrich and expand our human experience via curious questions and understanding; especially when witnessed in the eyes and wonder of a child.
As a parent, I will forever be grateful for the connections, conversations and teachings that followed.

To Michael the game creator and the team of storytellers, engineers and artists…
Your interactive masterpiece truly touched me.
    It was Profound!
    Spiritual even!
Just Thank you from all my heart.
    We cannot wait for more!

Micheal. I read “After the fall”
    Wow!
Read twice, back to back, and then memorised parts of your prose. I will most definitely share it with others.
If you are ever in the building when we play again, I’d give you a big hug or high five if you’d prefer. Thank you! Just Thank you!

To our dear Prince, we hold space for you in our hearts until we can continue our seasons and story together.

To anyone else reading this, I know I sound like a crazy fan girl here. I promise I am no more than a grateful and inspired customer.
You will understand when you go.
Do it! Book it now! Save for it or gift it to others.
Because It’s “A Must” A simply must experience.
Put it on your list of Melbourne Musts.

    My Heartfelt gratitude,
    Beck.

**Note to patents - My children’s ages at time of play is 8 and 10 years. And they did so well! Highly recommend for children to experience

Royal Park is a large inner park on the outskirts of the City of Melbourne. In fact, it's the most expansive park in the City. The park has a wide range of sporting facilities, and an up-to-date playground for children. The Royal Park Golf Course is a breeding place for champions, and it's only 3 km (2 miles) from the City. He best place to access the park is through Gatehouse St.

The Astor Theatre is a lovely old cinema that has been left as untouched as possible in terms of modern renovations. You won't find ridiculously oversized (and overpriced) chairs here to flop yourself into. Instead you'll find a very large old cinema complete with period movie posters and decor.

Apart from general modern films the Astor usually participates in various festivals such as the German or Spanish Film Festival and will often screen old faves on specific dates such as the original black/white King Kong or similar older fimms. Movie marathons and also the occasional event such as a comedian will take place here.

Parking can be a bit of a pain but it's usually OK.
