Situated in the heart of Sydney, opposite the Australian Museum and Hyde Park. They have swim lanes for the “serious” swimmers and a huge play pool for everyone else. There is also a sun area which is normally open along with a wave machine but due to recent Covid outbreak you can’t but this will be back to normal soon fingers crossed. The water is a little cool but you do get used to it. Suitable for families of all ages with the leisure pool opening on a slope so perfect for those younger children. It is reasonably priced and they do have lessons there.
Higher Jiu Jitsu has an awesome culture that is very welcoming to people traveling through Sydney and looking to train Gracie Jiu Jitsu. The gym is easy to get to from the CBD and has lots of class times.
Coach John is very welcoming and an awesome teacher who takes the time to explain the details and nuances of a technique. As an affiliate of Pedro Sauer there is a solid technical foundation and a structured curriculum that focuses on self-defence Gracie Jiu Jitsu.
This entire experience from booking to golf was WONDERFUL! While the golf was amazing, my husband and I were also impressed that LuxGolf and Travis are valued as business partners at ALL the courses we played. So our kudos to him for fostering those relationships that made our experiences unforgettable! We regret that we did not get a pic with Travis so we will save that for our next experience! We HIGHLY recommend and would give more than 5 stars if we could!
If you are wanting to take your SUP skills to the next level, you cant go past WATSSUP. I had a fabulous time doing training session (aka social group) with Jo and the team. Jo will correct your technique with her eagle eyes so that you can paddle more efficiently with less fatigue. You could tell she’s really passionate about SUP and it shows with the devoted regulars. Cant wait to get back out there! Jane
