Quite a few steps to the top but well worth it for the views of the bridge itself and the Opera House which are amazing. You can see the people doing the Bridge Walk ( look like ants) but this is less strenuous ( and less scary) if you can't manage that. Small museum and film show on making of the bridge etc. Yes there is a charge to go up the pylon but remember they have to pay for upkeep, staffing, insurance etc.

Visited on Saturday 27th May. Went to check out the observatory and the views of the harbour and bridge. Well worth going to see.

A gorgeous view- unfortunately we visited whilst they have temporarily placed fences up for safety repairs so it isn't as picturesque.

Located to the east of Robertson Park, across the pedestrian crossing is this iconic lookout. The views out to the Pacific Ocean are pretty stunning.

Cute little park. Stopped by for some photos while on a looping path from The Rocks back to the Circular Quay area. The bridge and surrounds make it feel a little bit like NYC or a Spiderman movie at times lol. Great place for photos.

My sister was visiting Sydney, so on a whim, we caught the first ferry outbound from Circular Quay, and ended up at Watsons Bay as a result!
Which was just gorgeous… the view down the harbour is magnificent…

However, we decided that a wander around the headland was in order, so we hied us forth amd did just that, and are extremely happy we did!
Obviously the various views - which are ever changing - are just epic and the well maintained boardwalk/track make doing the loop rather more easy than it otherwise have been!
Camp Cove beach on the way was just beautiful, and full of folk tending to their skin cancers, and there is a nudist beach further along…
There is a rather enormous old cannon in a revetment along the way to marvel at, and positions for a couple more as you wander around, but these were not accessible at the time of our visit; in fact, it was quite busy out on the headland with work on the lighthouse, and the naval base making it a little less serene than it might have been!!

However, that did not detract from a wonderful amble around a delicious part of Sydney!!

If you are in the area, you must take the time to stop and admire the view. On a clear & cold & windy winter day, we nearly had the place to ourselves. Surprisingly, no airmen but that was because the wind was in the wrong direction I believe? But I'm no Lawrence Hargrave! Fantastic views of the south coast towards the Gong, Sea Cliff Bridge & Stanwell Park and the ocean views are on tap. A Cafe is also available for drinks & snacks. A great spot to stop and smell the sea breeze!

Fantastic view and my favourite location for a run in this area (if I'm feeling like some hills).
As you walk around the head the view changes from Balmoral beach to the harbour sound to out through the harbour heads. You get a great view of boat activity from several points - particularly good for the start of the Sydney to Hobart race.
If you're lucky you might see some wildlife too - there are lots of water dragons and birds plus every now and then you might spot an Echidna or a Wallaby.

Great view of the sea. Waves at the bottom of the cliffs are of interest. Not a must see. You can take it in while waiting for the bus. Just watch the time.

Located close to Dee Why in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, this lookout provides some great views of the surrounding area southward. It’s a few minutes walk up a paved pathway (with some steps) from nearby Warringah Road. There’s parking available and a bus stop nearby.

I'm not sure that a park of this name actually exists. TA's current map location puts it within Headland Park on the heights of Georges Head but the g map puts it down on the actual point of Georges Head near the "Beehive Casemates", just off Chowder Bay Road, and that is certainly the place to go. There's a small clearing but take the path to the right to find some wonderful military ruins. There's a gun emplacement that makes a good shelter plus a three-story observation tower that you can climb up ladders to get to the top. Both have murals on them and you can even explore the tunnels around the emplacement, something you can't do anymore in most of the other places. You can also go past the fortifications and through a fence to stairs down to the water and an overhang. A fantastic place for exploring.

Looking at Manly from the 10km Spit to Manly walk, this look out point is located within the Sydney Harbour National Park. The earlier European settlers abducted this aborigine as their 'interpreter' against his will, seeing him attempting escape a few times. However, he died of 'white men's' disease a few years later. The Captain attended his funeral and acknowledged his role during the era with a lookout point
