- MessyBun2020Denver, CO175 contributionsWorth the drive. We booked a tour that took us here. The views are amazing, the history, small chapel, but worth it to see this.Written 17 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SteveMorristown, NJ5 contributionsMy wife and I visited Ribeira do Cavalo and the beach did not disappoint. Truly amazing beach with spectacular views. Parking and hiking down and then back up took 30-40 minutes each way. When we got down we saw the boat taxis that presumably came from Sesimbra. Definitely recommend that over the hike. We had called Bolhas tours but they said they were not running.Written 1 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joolz M14 contributionsBeautiful sandy beach, clear waters for snorkelling, water activities available, hire of sunshades and chairs all along the beach - plenty of places to buy drinks and snacks on the beach.Written 25 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Madabouttravel2013Margate28 contributionsFor under 4 euros we got an Uber to the castle and walked back. in around 30 minutes. - Jack SAtlanta, GA99 contributionsThis has to be one of the worlds best beaches. Clean, wide expanse of sand with a backdrop of beautiful rock cliffs. Completely safe and family friendly atmosphere. By far the best of several naturist beaches I have visited. Ample, nice covered parking at the beach for 1 or 2 Euro. Restaurant and restrooms available, although the restrooms were locked. The naturist section of the beach is separate but close to the main portion of the beach.Written 9 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NHjoSaco, ME7,157 contributionsThis is a beautiful beach that not many tourists know of -- the only reason we knew about it was because of relatives. We stopped at the beach on the way to have dinner with them and were enthralled to watch several swimmers get carrried from the lagoon to the ocean by the current. It looked like a ride you'd pay admission for at Disneyland, lol. There are cliffs and a tree forest further down the beach. This place must be packed with locals in the summer.Written 3 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NHjoSaco, ME7,157 contributionsWe stayed in Sesimbra for a few days and saw the fort from the beach, although we didn't go near it or into it. It was a lovely sight.Written 3 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- NHjoSaco, ME7,157 contributionsThis was a nice beach not far from the villa we stayed in that was just over the hill. Because it was November, it wasn't crowded at all.Written 3 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joolz M14 contributionsWow what a great find for a picnic spot after visiting Cabo Espichel - lava flow beach with sandy strip for sunbathing - dramatic waves and very strong current don’t recommend going in the sea although a few locals were brave enough to take a quick dip to cool off!! Loadsa rock pools amongst the lava for crab spotting - wear sturdy shoes - easy walk from car park right by beachWritten 21 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NHjoSaco, ME7,157 contributionsI went to this church a few times because it was right near our villa. Hearing its bells toll was wonderful. It's a simple little church, stark on the outside but the interior walls are covered in blue and white tiles depicting the life of the Virgin Mary.Written 3 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RLFSesimbra, Portugal15 contributionsThis is my go to place with my kids. It's perfect for kids of all ages, with plenty different areas to keep them busy and hapily entertained. Very well maintained with lush green grass and plenty of shade, it's the perfect place all year round and an amazing alternative to the beach to spend the day on hot summer days. It's got well maintained bathrooms for small kids and adults, and several water fountains throughout the park. Really really thankful for this amazing investment made by the cityWritten 11 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MJS77yoLondon, UK23 contributionsNice and clean and when we visited, on a Friday, it was near deserted without a handful of other couples dotted widely apart along the beach. The sea was a little too rough to venture in as it was a windy day but the beach was perfect otherwise. We didn't venture far from the steps but we didn't see any shops or vendors on the beach itself. I'd advise you plan ahead and bring snacks and drinks. However there is a nice restaurant at the top of the steps if you need a drink or toilet (takes a while though to use the steps though and I imagine it would be quite a chore if it was busy).Written 16 September 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chris C15 contributionsA fantastic wildlife interpretive centre located 20 mins from Azeitao easily found using google maps. If you are into bird/wildlife photography or bird watching then this is the place to go to if visiting Portugal in the Lisbon or Setubal areas.Written 25 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marylene SMaputo, Mozambique566 contributionsThis public garden adds to the overall charm of Sesimbra. Located in the old center of the city, it offers a very appealing shade that is especially welcome during the hot summer days.Written 8 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
