- Emma LDublin, Ireland231 contributionsDicey’s is full of young kids and plays commercial remix. The place is fun if you come with a fun bunch though!
I would not recommend if you can’t handle the cold as the main area is outside (although there are heaters).
A bit confused about the upstairs area which is another club (Krystle).Written 8 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The pub is quirky with its ceiling filled with brands, films etc and a brightly painted beer garden filled with classic Guinness posters.
The beer garden is great for families with young kids as it's enclosed and spacious.
Inside there is a warm feel to the place and good atmosphere and a good range of beers at a fair price.
There's several screens too which show the sports when it's on.Written 14 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The pub has a real local feel, and everyone made us feel welcome. The second evening there was a music session going on and we absolutely enjoyed it.Written 20 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jacob LynchCounty Kerry, Ireland5 contributionsStaff were fantastic, was a two minute walk from our hotel and was great for a bite and a pint. Food was tasty and they had a nice kids menu too which was perfect after a morning walk in the park. All safety measures in place too which was reassuring.Written 15 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WandererNorthWestDublin, Ireland52 contributionsI know this place well, but I haven't been here in ages. I took four US friends as two had been before and really wanted to go back. We visited Wednesday evening when [like Friday in Summer and Saturday in winter] there is much entertainment and music ALL by the folk who simply visit the pub. It's a real step back to the mid 1700's with the old cottage feel, together with all the old ornaments. It's well kept, surrounded by fields and has the usual variety of drinks. The craic was great that night, Gene Anderson dropped a lovely tray of nibbles on our table as well. Well worth a visit!Written 12 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- John YSaint Louis, Missouri404 contributionsThis is one of our favorite bars in Ireland. It's quaint and homey, but loads of fun. I discovered it in 2005 and have visited several times since. - EmeraldIsle1703County Dublin, Ireland440 contributionsLovely place where we could crash for a lunch and a pint/tea after a Hike in the Sleeve Bloom mountains and before hopping on the train. We got lovely pizzas, and could watch the match (my partner is Welsh and Wales was playing against Bulgaria).
We will come back for a pint next time we are in Portlaoise (this little town has stolen our hearts!). See you soon!Written 7 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
