- Grant T25 contributionsVisited on our way north. We drove to the village first before realizing we had taken the wrong turn. Signage here could be a little clearer. The Boulders are pretty much as expected and quite unique. The Cafe was a nice place to stop with great views and good car parking, however be prepared for a $2 fee to access the beach.Written 12 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Rod DBalclutha, New Zealand65 contributionsA neatly cared for short walk to spots neatly above NZ Fur Seals that made for excellent watching.
7:30am is surely too late to see penguins heading out in the summer and the gate wasn't opened until 7:40.
Looking out to the South we saw dolphins including mum's nursing babies which was cool and definitely our highlight.Written 10 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - RAFwhereverAuckland97 contributionsIt's tempting not to mention this delightful reserve, with camping facilities and interesting walks (especially after some rain). It really is a hidden treasure.Written 14 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- heilbrondavidAuckland Central, New Zealand3 contributionsTurned up for what was supposed to be a 5 hour fishing trip. After 1 hour trip of fishing was back to jetty as skipper said higher winds were predicted. Did not stop in more sheltered area closer to shore on way in where smaller boats were fishing. $320 for my wife and I to fish for 1 hour I don't consider good value. Skippers should be aware of marine forecast before heading out or check with customers on what they wish to do. After approaching company we have received a $50 voucher towards our next trip with them. Won't be happening. Saw another charter come in very happy with a large catch. Hate writing a bad review but this trip warranted me making others aware.Written 28 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Brendon HQueenstown, New Zealand14 contributionsBest day of fishing. Moeraki is a must visit village in the South Island and the day out on Sirocco was excellent. Great value for money, awesome boat, good lunch and the crew know how to look after you. We caught plenty for everyone, mainly blue cod which is my favourite, we will definitely be back.
Thanks Guys see you again.
