Incredible place to visit, highly recommend the tour as it’s excellent and very informative with lots of info you’ll not get otherwise. Buy the additional chapel visit, it’s fascinating inside as well.

I am a history lover and was blown away by Cashel Folk Village. The array of artefacts from different periods in Irish history is fascinating, its a place I want to go back to experience again. Bernard has an array of knowledge that was very informative! A must visit when in Cashel!

A nice contrast with the crowds of the Rock. Worth a quick visit for some photos if you have time to spare.

This is an incredible spectacle of Irish dancing, singing and music that should not be missed. The timing is perfect (just over an hour) and the diversity is great (alternating between sad & happy, slow and fast, and among songs, music, dance). We were even treated to Gaelic “skat” sung by an octogenerian wizard at the accordion who also danced a bit too! Family-friendly. Half-circle audience layout easy to access, comfy chairs. What an evening!

Might be a little bit out of the way but definitely worth a visit. Known for its different architectural styles, a highlight was Cormac's Chapel with its frescos. Recommend staying after the guided tour to allow a good look around and then walk into town for lunch. Follow this up with a visit to Hore Abbey just down the hill from the cathedral. Much quieter than the cathedral, it has the crypts, graveyard and medieval atmosphere.

We couldn't get enough of these incredible ruined pieces of Ireland's past. So much to see, I could spend a trip just going through them all.

Although you can't go inside, this little treasure on upper Friar street is not to be missed. It's free to view this 300 year old cottage that heartens back to another time! There are still great examples of roof thatching all over Ireland.

This small cemetery includes a name roll for famine victims of the locality. It's understood that up to 1,000 people who died during the famine are buried here. A very moving site to visit.

We dropped in here during a rain storm and were very pleasantly surprised. Nice overview of the history of the town presented in Audio Visual display. There is also a small shop to pick up local gifts at reasonable prices.
