Andrea was a fantastic driver and gracious host, stopping in different locations to allow us to experience the history of small towns and sites.
It is especially good if you have limited time and you want to ensure you see some if the great local sights away from the main cities.

Stunning square in the old part of the city, often decorated with the flags of the city's neighborhoods, and the site of the historic Saracen joust held twice a year.
Beautiful, relaxed piazza with good restaurants to make use of the view.

This is the duomo dedicated to San Donato, the patron saint of Arezzo who was beheaded on this site by the Romans for his Christian faith.
It has been restored and the view of Arezzo is amazing.

I thought the most outstanding feature was the view of the back of the church from Piazza Grande.

Besides being a beautiful place to walk with incredible views of the countryside around Arezzo it also currently has a very interesting sculpture exhibition by Mexican artist Gustavo Aceves.
Nice sculptures within well contribute to add value to the place, who offers an amazing view on the countryside and all over Arezzo.
