There is a huge, amazing ancient Yew tree which may date from much earlier than the fifteenth century (possibly pagan) and a war memorial at the top with fantastic views.
Across a causeway slightly smelly with estuarine mud, the island itself made for a lovely peaceful walk round the graveyard, a contemplative sit in the small church, and beautiful views up by the war memorial.

... but Anglesey was the place to cross hence within Anglesey there are many, many archaeological religious sites too many to do in one day but I chose Bryn Celli as one a truly great site and a must to visit.

The castle is a World Heritage site, small but perfectly formed, unfinished but with outstanding views from any of the towers especially on a clear day with the snowdonia range right ahead of you and paffin Island...

This lifeboat station is in a lovely village with a pier, a great centre, lots of food places and the RNLI station with views of Snowdonia over the Menai Straits.

Beautiful pier lots of seating all shaded and very very clean we sat here and had fish and chips so good, lots of boat trips out to puffin island, good value, stunning views of the mountains
But it's a beautiful little pier with stunning views of the coasts, Menai strait and of course snowdonia national parks Boats trips leave from the pier too (but if you want to see puffins go before August)
