What travellers are saying
- ianwebb75London, UK1,541 contributionsA good sized mall with all the shops that you need including a cinema. A good place to visit as a tourist if the weather is poor and soak up a couple of hours. Nice food court with a good variety.Written 25 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tomáš KBeroun, Czech Republic50 contributionsIf you like climbing and bouldering, try Klifurhusid in Reykjavík. Not so far from downtown, reasonable prices and nice atmosphere.Written 20 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - C6370KKkarenMaui, HI39 contributionsVisited this wonderful knitting store yesterday. Walked there from downtown and then to Botanical Garden to have lunch in the greenhouse cafe.
Store is large for a yarn store. Very clean. Grateful that I spent the time to go there.
Very pleased by the vast selection of Icelandic yarns as well as a large selection of international yarns. There are some pretty good sale items throughout store. I ended up buying a Japanese cotton/silk yarn at 40% off. The nice, young sales lady helped me with a VAT form for the airport.
Thinking about going back next week and getting a local lighter weight Icelandic yarn and browsing patterns.Written 11 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Here was close to the office so we chose here. There were 4 snooker tables in a separate room which were maintained in fantastic condition. The table was heated, rolled true and a nice pace. The pockets weren’t like some club tables that go in from everywhere so you had to focus. I’ll be visiting here for some practice every time I’m in Iceland. I wish I lived closer!Written 24 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Karen and ScottGagetown, Canada7 contributionsA snorkelling experience like no other! Water so pure and clear, having been filtered through lava rock for years, breathtaking rocky underwater landscape…AND you are snorkelling a UNESCO World Heritage Site, AND it’s cold, AND you are in beautiful rugged Iceland! Niko was our incredible tour guide, he is knowledgeable and engaging, and his passion is contagious. He made the whole experience so memorable!

He talked about all sorts of things including Icelandic history and many stories of interactions with hidden people. It gave us a lot to talk and joke about for the rest of the day. Also, the pancakes and bread were fantastic. I will say that we left early when the other group in our session did (about 3.5 hours in) and that was the way to go—we would have liked to stay for questions, but “one more story” might have taken quite a long time.Written 30 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - yowvegOttawa, Canada249 contributionsThe hot tubs are a wonderful way to relax those muscles after long days of activities! We really enjoyed our visit to the spa and the shoulder massages that were given by the masseuse whilst in the hot tub.Written 1 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - IGG_IcelandReykjavik, Iceland14 contributionsSpaksmannsspjarir offer a high quality clothing and best customer service there is. I have bought several items from them and many years later they are still in use. I love their mindset for fashion and their creativity and they are fun to visit. If you are looking for high quality Icelandic fashion design, look no further.Written 27 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - I13JAmarymPalm Desert, CA2,688 contributionsWe started our research on visiting Iceland almost a year before we went. Hey Iceland was one of the companies contacted who responded immediately. We were very satisfied with the car rental arrangement and the hotels chosen. Their iPad routing was very effective and easy to use. We are talking about going back and would use Hey Iceland again.
Having said that- 1. It's hard to get specific information until you pay them a deposit. I do understand they are selling a product and don't want to give it away for free. As summer and the trip drew nearer and they got busier it was very difficult to get any response from them. I finally called and that was effective. 2. While we appreciated the iPad, while sitting in the airport in the rental car, we could not get it to work. We went back to the rental car company where fortunately one of the staff knew how to register it. We could find no directions anywhere that said "first, you must register the iPad." We never did figure out how to use the hot spot.Written 22 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
