What travellers are saying
- Tom JLondon, UK1,779 contributionsWhilst on the last leg of our mammoth road trip in Iceland we were gifted some wonderful weather in Reykjavik. Given we have previously visited Reykjavik a couple of times before we had seen the usual "sights" and were taking a much more relaxed approach to our time. As the sun was shining we opted to take a stroll around lake Tjornin, enjoying the warmth of the sun and embracing the local wildlife it was a lovely stroll along the waterfront with a few statues dotted along the way.
The walk around the lake only took about 30 minutes and was a lovely break away from the tourist hustle and bustle of Laugavegur.Written 28 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Plenty of birds nesting here, good path around the lake and through the park, flowers in the summer, and interesting sculptures on the perimeter. Everything made it an enjoyable way to enjoy a few hours.Written 23 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kirstin GCanterbury, UK543 contributionsI didn’t travel up to the waterfall or the wider part of the river, but the bottom of the river where it meets the park is particularly beautiful, owing to all the wild flowers that grow there. It’s lovely for a stroll and would be a great picnic spot in warm weather.Written 8 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
