This is a very informative museum if you want to learn about Iceland’s history. It’s not very big and you can spend a couple of hours to see it all. The audio guide is very informative and takes you around the exhibits from when Iceland was first populated until the present day.

Not only is Hidden People Iceland packed with beautiful jewelry and stones, but has the most genuine person owning it! I was blessed to meet Gem and get to know all about her shop and I was not disappointed with my experience shopping here!
It is a wonderful shop to buy crystals, incense, sage, and gifts for people that you care about! I myself got these items to begin my journey with my guides and Gem was more than happy to help in giving suggestions on what to get, but also discussing how to use everything, what spells and rituals that work best with.
I don’t know how else to exclaim that if you visit the market, you must stop by this stall, meet Gem for yourself and walk away feeling enlightened and whole!

I have gone to Mjuk many times over the years, from the time that there was only one store in Reykjavik. I have introduced many friends to this wonderful family business, and we are always amazed by the quality of materials, the lovely designs and the excellent service. I still wear my first toque and fur hat that I bought there. This summer I added one of their gorgeous cashmere and merino capes. I don't want to rush the cooler weather, but I can hardly wait to wear it!

I used the online services that responded perfectly.
I had some problems with the Italian authorities for the due taxes but managed to solve everything

A great showcase for local creative producers and crafts people. A wonderful find tucked just off the centre and unexpectedly open.

Dagny is an absolutely lovely woman who has an incredible skill in pottery! My friend and I walked past her shop one night and loved what we saw through the window so we returned the next day and sat outside the shop until it opened. She had such a beautiful collection of pieces that were styled after the Icelandic landscape. I saw drawn in by the volcano pieces that you can buy in multiple sizes and colors. I personally liked the skinner volcano with plans to put flowers in it but if you buy a wider size, you can place a tea light inside and it looks like the volcano is glowing! Highly recommend stopping by, even just to chat with Dagny!

Another souvenir shop in Reykjavik. Some nice sweaters, hats & gloves available, which are actually made in Iceland. I brought gloves which are so warm! They were about £28 though.

Very beautiful city. Easy to get around. A little hilly in some spots. People very friendly and helpful. Many places to shop and eat. Recommend taking 2 hour walking tour to get a feel of how to navigate your way around the city. Weather in the 50’s, mostly overcast but no rain. Recommend visiting the Perlan museum. While worth going too. Many activities to do via booking tours. Highly recommend the Reykjavik centrum hotel in the center of the city.

Fantastic place to buy hand knitted icelandic knitwear. My Jersey has the makers name. Not the cheapest but the cost is justified by the quality. Friendly helpful staff

I was recommended to visit this store because I love fountain pens and I was told that they had a good selection.

The Bookstore is quite large with a nice range of books and office supplies. Downstairs is where the fountain pens can be found. They have pens from Lamy and Cross (and a few others I think). I liked the pens they had on display and was pleasantly surprised to find a couple I haven't heard much about before and which interested me. I would for example be interested to know more about the rarer Lamy fountain pens they had. I saw a beautiful one I don't often see and that I would consider buying.

When considering a fountain pen I like to take my time. They can be quite expensive and I prefer to look around, possibly google any information I might need and then decide. I want to relax and enjoy myself while browsing.

On this day a salesperson followed me downstairs. I didn't think much of it because I thought they probably had something to do there. But they just kept some distance while clearly keeping an eye on me. I get that they worry about people stealing, but it made me slightly uncomfortable, so I left earlier than I planned to. If I go back I will probably ask to be able to browse in peace or ask questions about the pens that they have, but I wasn't offered help and I felt that I was keeping the employee from doing something more important.

The pens they have are lovely and I don't own a cross pen yet, but would like to. It's very practical to be able to look at the pens and possibly hold them to get a sense of how they fit your hand. I have bought many great pens online, but it's great to get a chance to see them and feel sure that the one I choose is a good fit.
