- robw247London, UK96 contributionsNice clean beaches, despite it being off season it was still nice, with places to eat, spacious and a nice vibe. - alpinemccain09Moncton, Canada131 contributionsWe went for a walk. It was in November so we did not go swimming but very nice beach. It is very big with a few restaurants. It’s a place we would return for a beach day, we enjoyed it. Great walk.Written 9 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Algarve - Portimão
It has more than 20 beaches, all very different. Every day, I will visit one of them.
Today I had the privilege of visiting the Praia dos Três Castelos is an urban beach in the municipality of Portimão. It is just west of the famous Praia da Rocha. Praia dos Três Castelos is most known for its isolated rock formations in the sea. If you have the chance, this is a great beach to spend a day. Let’s discover this beach. 👍🏻😀❤️.Written 11 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LoobyLou050Glasgow, UK145 contributionsBeen going to Alvor since 2003, the beach is beautiful with lifeguards, plenty of restaurants & some kiosks selling snacks and ice lollies. 2 sun loungers, tables and shade €15 per day at the concession in front of Cinco Quinas restaurant and the Windsurf restaurant. Be aware toilets and restaurants there only open from midday, a change from previous years when they opened from morning and you could get breakfast, also they no longer do food to takeaway only crisps, nuts etc.
Beach is a beautiful stretch of golden soft sand approx 3k long with lifeguard stations and water sports available and is popular with windsurfers. Lovely to walk the beach from end to end or wander back up to town via the boardwalk.
Sea is at it’s warmest in September.Written 13 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. They have part open and on rainy days can be not nice as the escalators are outside but they also have lifts available.Written 19 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - James MNewbury, UK155 contributionsWe were the only ones here (it was xmas 2023) so it's hard to rate the staff, but I got the feeling they wouldn't cope with much volume of people and we not that interested in running the business at all, perhaps they are not required to make money? Either way the main thing to note about this place is that the karts are very, very even. We have karted all over the world and this is the first place we have been were there was less that a couple of tenths between karts. So if you are looking for some truly competitive racing against your mates, its worth the drive.Written 4 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Algarve - Portimão
It has more than 20 beaches, all very different. Every day, I will visit one of them.
Today I woke up and decided to meet another woman in Portimão,
Praia do Vau is a beach in Portimão. The beach is situated only 2 kilometres west of Praia da Rocha and 3 kilometres from the centre of Portimão. It is far enough from Portimão to escape the huge crowds, but close enough to go to Portimão at night to have fun. Let’s explore this beach. 😀👍🏻❤️.Written 11 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Late afternoon, very warm day, beautiful sand and plenty to beach to walk if the tide is low. It created a desire to experience a lot more of those marvelous beaches!Written 30 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ricardo D9 contributionsAmazing, Satisfying and Rewarding. Learned a lot in a friendly and stress free environment.
Did my Coastal Skipper in October 2024.
Dave was a brilliant instructor checking all the boxes of a true sea gentleman. I will forever cherish his pearls of wisdom and his amazing attitude towards us.
We had a very personalised teaching experience since we were doing different courses and complementing each other as a crew…
We experienced 3 different marinas, and very different scenarios, including night sailing!
Osprey was very kind to us and she sailed beautifully, and we could notice all the love Mark and Jane put into her care… we had no issues and the food aboard was top notch.
The gods offered us 5 totally different days to sail so the sailing and boating experience was quite heterogeneous, what was a plus…
I definitely recommend L2S and definitely recommend the beautiful Portuguese coast. Fish stalls didn't seem to be open on a Monday. Prices reasonable and a good variety.Written 4 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - david aDublin, Ireland25 contributionsAmazing little beach. Yes it is a bit of a walk along the track to get to it but it is stunning. Plenty of nude and gay men bathing so you can relax and enjoy the water. While it is a sheltered bay, there is a current and a shelf that drops suddenly Into much deeper water.Written 5 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
