What travellers are saying
- Travels for fun59 contributionsWe stayed opposite the Market and strolled over no anticipating much but on entry the food smell sent out taste buds into overdrive, trying not to eat everything at the start we wondered around up and down the aisles to get a feeling of what was on offer. Multiple cuisine styles my daughter settled for Dumplings I checked out a Corndog, donuts, pastries and a few more bits 😂
We’ll worth a visit Tram and Metro Blaak will deposit you outsideWritten 16 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The signposted route within the zoo is very effective at taking you to each enclosure and we left feeling pleased by how much there was to see given the zoo's smaller footprint. I only hope that the Polar Bears have dried out by now!Written 20 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rosaline2015Liverpool, UK3,516 contributionsWow and Wow - makes you wonder at how they build these bridges - well worth a visit if in Rotterdam.
Traffic very busy and seems to come from every direction at ends - so make sure you only cross when you get the ok from traffic lights to walk,Written 5 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I loved it because it’s not over populated with tourist and there was alto to see and do. I took the ICD train from Amsterdam Central Station direct to Rotterdam with 1 stop at Schiphol Airport, It took about 50mins to arrive. Cost for RT 40€.
I literally walked around the City for 8hrs. From Rotterdam Central Station I walked to Markthal Rotterdam (a must see) you can find all types for food from around the world, get your spices and everything, stop at the outdoor market for fresh fish, fruits and clothing, near Cube House all in the same area of the market. cross the bridge and took the boat to SS Rotterdam, book your reservation for dinner on the ship In Advance. Many cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from, there is no shortage.
Overall is a beautiful city to explore and I will definitely visit again for a few days.Written 3 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Despite that, they have very tasty food and the interior is very cosy. Nice place to be with very nice people :)Written 23 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- nnmercmanCamberley, UK13,644 contributionsArriving into Rotterdam on a cruise ship you can’t fail to miss this imposing tower situated in a park on the left hand side of the river just opposite the cruise terminal. As we sailed past I noticed what looked like people jumping off but fortunately they were about to abseil down! We had a wander round Rotterdam and walked to the tower on our way back to the ship but unfortunately we had insufficient time to experience the viewing platform.Written 17 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Emzyne1London, UK166 contributionsWhile I'm sure like most of Rotterdam's activities it's better in Summer, the old harbour has a lot of charm. There are historical ships parked up as part of the maritime museum that you can see 'for free' from the outside.
Very cool to wander through and snap pics.Written 25 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The rhododendrons were past their peak, but the water gardens were impressive. Get a Rotterdam visitor's pass.
