Great place, amazing views. By yourself, I think 45-60 minutes would probably be enough. But you would miss out on the fascinating information and access to the chapel given on the guided tour (about 1 hour long).

Cèdric was an incredible tour guide. I had only an hour before the start of a conference, but the tour was so good that I decided I would suffer the wrath of the organisers and be a little late.

Bring some cash for a tip - you will definitely want to tip!

From the Château de Sion, it is easy to get down to the Basilica. It is a wide, paved, stepped path. The monument is in use as a church, and organ concerts, one of the oldest in Europe, are also held here.

We successfully made a taste without any reservation, and the staffs were really helpful with introducing all kinds of win to us. After tasting, we purchased some nice wine with nice discounts.
If you are taking public transport to get here, you will have to take a 15-minute walk on the road, but also with marvelous scenery and can have a close look into the grape fields.

An interesting museum, combined with the Valere Basilica made for an enjoyable morning. The museum has explanations in English and we joined a guided tour of the basilica. There are great views of Sion and Tourbillon Chateau. A limited but satisfying coffee shop on site.

The park is easily reached by car with plenty of free parking. There are many activities like mini golf, climbing wall, miniature train, rope park, lawns and even swimming in the lake. There is also a restaurant (not air conditioned), but many people were enjoying picnics in the shade.

Excellent support from the Sion Tourist office. Got plenty of tips on sights and walk within the city itself as well as what can be done within 1 hr drive. They speak good English!!!

This is a good size museum, showing the animals and fauna in the local area. We got a plan in English, and our 10-year olds were entertained for 1.5 hour, and so were we. Other nice museums nearby (art and history museum). Perfect for a rainy day. Not too many people, and the COVID setup seems sensible.
