    Review of: Lake Geneva
    Simply stunning
    From the moment our train came close to the water we were wowed by this beautiful lake. It has so much to offer and is the source of so much activity that there really is something for everyone.

    We stayed in the city itself and the lake became a focal point. We would get the tram down every night and enjoy the activity and events around it.

    We had a TravelCard which qualified us for the three ferry routes on the lake and we made full use of these. Hop on hop off for a short journey during which you will see some amazing sites, get some great pictures and a close-up view of the water jet.

    It is lined with parks, bars and restaurants but we used to go back a block as they were much cheaper there. A lot of people took a picnic by the water and this seemed a great idea.

    Review of: Jet d'Eau
    Super water feature that adds to the Geneva experience.
    Centre piece to Geneva lake and city. Not the tallest I have seen but very impressive and gives you lots of photo opportunities, especially with the various boats and ferries passing by. You can walk up fairly close to it and not get wet provided the wind is not blowing in the wrong direction. At night it gets a colourful makeover and adds to the look of the city. No matter how many times you see it while in Geneva you can’t help but look again.

    Review of: Bains des Paquis
    Unique experience
    A local lady we met on the bus recommended this restaurant and I’m so glad she did. We spent both our evenings in the city there as it was fantastic. Great food, beautiful location and terrific atmosphere.

    It is so much cheaper than the restaurants in town as well so it is well worth seeking out. You sit in the middle of the lake with people swimming and enjoying the sunshine around you Whilst you sample some excellent local food.

    It isn’t a fancy place and the service can be a bit abrupt but it is all part of the experience. They only do one meat and one vegetarian option each day along with a fondue. We had the latter and it was massive – too much for two of us at only €25.

    Review of: Cathédrale de Saint-Pierre
    Awe inspiring
    This incredible building was on the other side of the lake from us but we still made sure we got a to visit it. It was certainly worth it and it took our breath away.

    It is absolutely vast but beautifully maintained. We tried to get some photos of it from a distance but it is up close where you really appreciate how magnificent it is.

    There was a music fair on when we were there and lots of little stages of been set up around it and the atmosphere was fantastic.

    So much history in this town but this really is the jewel in the crown.

    Tribute to joining the CH
    This is a nice bronze sculpture set close to the lake, just by the Flower Clock.
    It was erected in honor of Geneva joining the Helvetic Confederation.

    Review of: Palais des Nations
    Would have enjoyed a visit
    The Palais des Nations is the headquarters for the United Nations, and the outside was impressive. We enjoyed seeing the front facade and the flags lining the approach. We would have enjoyed the tour that is normally available, but due to Covid restrictions it wasn't operating during our visit. We were still glad that we took the time to walk by and see the building, as well as the nearby plaza and Broken Chair scuplture.

    Never Miss This Museum
    Wonderful museum, don’t miss it if you visit Geneva. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Sorry I forgot her name, she was older and had grey hair and spoke good English. It was great experience to learn about watches from 14th century. Great location, easy access through metro. Staff are very professional.

    Best was to spend part of your day
    Calm and beautiful, walking through the gardens, away from the traffic and crowds
    Well worth the free visit

    Review of: Plage de Port-Choiseul
    Public Access at Last
    This is the only place in the area where normal people have access to the lake. The surrounding properties are private and restricted access. The beach is rocky. The kids had fun. We went on a cold and windy day, so it was not crowded and we enjoyed the views of snow-capped mountains and swans and other water birds.

    Review of: Jardin Botanique Alpin de Meyrin
    Beautiful garden with surprises!
    Me and my cousin visited here after visiting the CERN just close by! Its a beautiful botanical garden, free to enter!

    Lots of wonderful flowers, ponds and log piles. Plenty of benches to sit and rest on.

    The animals were a great highlight, so many lizards running around the flower beds basking on the rocks, frogs in the pools and friendly cheeky goats!

    beautify cathedral
    do the tower and archeology tours. We were lucky - Got there during choir practice.

    Review of: Parc La Grange
    A beautiful space in the city
    We were out exploring this wonderful city and just happened across this park by accident. The timing was perfect as we have been walking quite a long time in the blazing sun and needed somewhere to rest for a while.

    This beautiful park provided us with excellent shade on the benches and we watch the locals using it to its full extent.

    It is beautifully maintained and there was a music festival on during our visit and it was full of a lot of bands playing from Little stages and lots of other activities all around.
